Quirky, fun decor with incredible food and drinks! I was a little intimidated by the disclaimers when making a reservation because it mentioned a dress code, and we like to be casual. It was totally fine though, and we would definitely eat here again. Highly recommend the house schnitzel!

Amazing place and amazing staff the girl which was serving us was very helpful and friendly and recommended the best dishes to us! I would recommend to give it a try! Nice place to hangout with friends and family! Would love to come again ☺️

Lovely restaurant. Mac and Cheese was good but the sauce could have been cheesier. Excellent drinks menu and the coconut rice pudding was yummy. Great location as it is right opposite the train station. It is huge inside with great live music and fabulous decor. Only downside is when group bookings cannot be guaranteed to be sat together.

Stopped in at Brewhemia across from Waverley Station while waiting for the midnight sleeper train. A reservation was required due to it being a busy Friday night, so we sat at the bar for a drink while waiting for our reservation. We were seated in a comfortable both and ordered a glass of wine to share. To eat we shared the North Sea Fish & Chips and a side of MAC & CHEESE. The menu really needs an refresh as the venue gives the appearance of an upscale pub but the menu is German food with a bit of everything mixed in. We asked the waitstaff about the desserts and they said it was a pass as they are not usually ordered. We tried a dessert anyone, still not sure what it was called, but it was a no to appeasing. The service he was really great and the atmosphere is nice.trip

Apart from the name and the lack of Stornaway black pudding it is a really nice place.Food great and great choice. Not as pretentious as it sounds (well at least it isn't for brunch) nice staff. For elderly people please note that the toilets are down a spiral staircase and to my knowledge there isn't a lift.

Interesting, overall positive experience at this place two nights in a row..First night was for dinner. The cavernous interior was quiet and subdued that night and we dined able to chat in the very dog restaurant space. I enjoyed the steak cooked on a rock at my table and found it relatively affordable for what you got.Second night was for a drink and it was like a whole new establishment. Packed to the brim, live music, etc. Couldn't believe it was the same spot I was in 24 hours previously..Friendly staff, decent food options, great interior design and clearly a popular spot in general. Mostly good things to say although I will add that the pints can be pricey (though unique!) and some of the food sounded a bit better than it tasted..Happy to return if I'm ever in the area.. Quick side note - it's a bit hard to find if you're up on the Royal Mile with the current bridge construction. Easily accessed through Waverley station, or along the Scotsman Stairs..

Brewhemia is a very popular, lovely venue which is well worth a visit.Attended as a group of 8 (thankfully having booked ahead, which is essential) and had a great time. The menu is absolutely spot on and delivers exactly what you'd want and more, with a creator twist and high quality ingredients. The schnitzels are fantastic as are the self-cook steaks, which really add to the experience. The beer selection is top notch and they're well-kept. Guest beers appear in copper tanks above the bar and are labelled with extra information like how far away it was brewed, which was interesting to see.Staff were very attentive and friendly, in spite of the venue being absolutely rammed full on the night that we visited. Food was served quickly, too.I would definitely recommend a visit to Brewhemia when you're in Edinburgh.

Brewhemia is located in central Edinburgh in Market Street and offers a great venue for a good night out. A good choice of quality food and drinks. Live entertainment is provided by a band located above one of the bars. Female dancers clothed in 1960's styled clothing dance and hop around the customers tables which adds to the entertainment. Customers were also noted dancing on the wooden benches in the restaurant which added to the fun. A live singer also hopped on to a table and gave a great rendition of a classic Blondie song. Will definitely be back at Brewhemia.

Brewhemia was a good experience and is a must try if in Edinburgh. The location of the cafe/bar is directly opposite Edinburgh Waverley train station. When entering we were greeted by a friendly staff member however he became less friendly when we said we were only visiting for drinks and bar snacks. The staff behind the bar were really friendly and happy to help with anything. We were slightly disappointed when two of the drinks we wanted were not available however the drink we did get were amazing. The flavours and uniqueness were top notch. Were ordered two bar snacks, bangers and truffle fries both exceptional again. For the amount of food we received I do think it was over priced. We paid £8 for 6 small pieces of sausage. The ascetic of the place was beautiful and would highly recommend visiting especially on an evening when they have a special event on.

My friend had booked us a table and we were there a little early but they seated us earlier. We had a dog with us and they treated him so nicely, giving him treats and offering water. The food was absolutely delicious and huge portions! We both had the Flat White Martini’s and they were gorgeous. Really creamy! Staff were very attentive and friendly. The live singers was a surprise but huge plus! Brewhemia has a really good atmosphere, and it’s literally on Waverley’s door step.
