My girlfriend and I have now found the perfect breakfast. Food and service excellent and reasonably priced. All in a warm and friendly setting. We will be back!!

We enjoy our trips there. Good service, nice atmosphere, good with both old & young and food has always been good. Great place to have in the area. Thanks

Lovely cafe just off the high Street. Solid middle of the road price point for tasty well presented spread. Portions are a good size and your kids will not be left wanting either with a nice range of the expected child friendly favorites. I've been with my blind partner and my disabled Dad. We were accommodated both times with grace and efficiency. Enough space to maneuver a standard mobility scooter or wheelchair. Never felt we were considered a problem. Highly recommended. Worth walking the extra distance from the beach for lunch.

Very amateurish. The clientele is seemingly mostly old people, the standard of the food fits their expectations but does nothing to exceed it. I ordered an orange juice which was clearly a cheap from concentrate as there was a sort of powdery film at the bottom of the glass. The vegetarian breakfast had absolutely no seasoning, was super plain. Like the kind of food old people like.Overall basic and bad. Also the flat white was not creamy at all just like it has a splash of cold milk added.

Visited last week as we hadn't been since pre-lockdown, completely different atmosphere and service. Once shown to our table the server placed a pile of cutlery and napkins on the table and told us to help ourselves (OK, not a huge problem), Ordered Lattè and a cappuccino (first off brought tea, fair enough probably just misheard me)Lattè was scalding hot to the point where I was finished my food before it was drinkable, then for lunch my wife had ordered chilli nachos and I ordered the all day breakfast. Breakfast was fair enough but the nachos had the dips all on top(again not really a problem as my wife does like all the dips) she had a few nachos with the different dips but thought the Guacamole wasn't quite right, after another try she said it tasted "fizzy". She returned it to the counter where the lady said it was freshly made on Saturday (this was Monday) and that it couldn't be off. No apologies but just asked if my wife would like a bowl of soup but the Guacamole had actually left her a bit nauseous. When we went to pay they did comp our drinks and the nachos and apologised but I don't think we will be returning.

A gem of a place for those with kids! The staff were so kind to my child and went the extra mile with his meal. I also noticed the other table that came in with their kids were kindly given a high chair for their daughter's doll. Clearly family orientated and welcome to all ages as there was a wide spectrum of people at the other tables.Food was simple and tasty with large portions for the prices. Cakes were particularly delicious.Highly recommend if you're visiting Portobello!

Felt short changed because I need gluten free food. I asked (before sitting) whether I could substitute items on the 11 item breakfast and they said yes - it turned out that most of the items in the deal contained gluten so they agreed to provide more of what I could eat instead. Unfortunately what came out was a very small breakfast (not 11 items worth of food for sure) and I didn't get the feeling I'd been given more of anything - it just felt like they'd taken away most of the items (see picture). On the plus side they did provide a slice of gluten free toast (a lot of places don't keep gluten free bread) and were quick to top up the filter coffee.A suggestion to the owner: Have a think about offering a gluten free breakfast as it'll save a lot of staff time and allow you to offer something that's worth visiting your cafe for, without sacrificing your margin (what's provided at the moment is too mean).

Very convenient deal. For £6.95 each we had a delicious soup and a massive omelette with cheese, bacon and chips on the side. The service was lovely despite the place was busy! We'll come back for sure! :D
