Great little cafe on top of the hill. Good food at a great price in a lovely setting with very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Stopped by for a light lunch and coffee after a morning at the Edinburgh Castle. Pleasantly surprised with their menu- it’s a small, but tasty menu. Really enjoyed their soup of the day, sweet potato, and my husband had the sausage roll with egg that he also enjoyed. Great spot!

Mediocre coffee and bad food made with the cheapest ingredients, some of them not very fresh. Expensive for the quality of food and you pay crazy extra for non-dairy (50p for a cup) just a tourist trap, nothing else. There are much better places around to get a proper scottish breakfast (and tastier too) and countless places in Edinburgh with better vibe overall.

Love this place!! The student discount is great and the sausage roll was very filling! Wifi worked very well. Cozy space and nice staff

Cakes are nice and the tea was ok, but only teabags so hard to mess up. Prices are a bit high though and apparently no customer WiFi? Loses a star for that I'm afraid. Nice setting though.

This café was a lovely surprise on a rainy day and Edinburgh, walking my way up the mound. It’s just enough off the beaten path that it’s fairly quiet. The food was delicious. The young man who runs the kitchen is not only a good chef but a very nice person. When you’re tired of the hustle and bustle of the Royalmile head down to the salt café. It’s a pleasant reprieve, and you’ll like the food too!

Wonderful Place and wonderful view, enjoy it with a steaming full breakfast and a Cappuccino! Keep it going!!

Perfect for what it is: a cafe with a nice view, drinks and light sandwiches and snacks. Good tea to the table in under two minutes, comfy chairs, and friendly staff. Little off the beaten path too so even during the Fringe it isn't heaving with customers all the time.

Great food and service. Photos are of our brunch aftermath. The soup of the day was curry lentil chicken, which was excellent on this dreary cozy day. Lots of seating and great views.
