Cafe Piccante in Edinburgh

Honestly the fish wasn’t fresh. It was dry and luke warm. The chips were soggy. I’m very disappointed for what you pay.

Very friendly and accommodating team when we popped in one cold, wet afternoon in December. Fish and chips we ordered came in big portions. They were just what we needed to refuel. Just minutes walk from Waverly Train Station.

Absolutely loved this place. My 2 friends and I travelled from London and we really wanted to try the famous fried Mars bar, we also wanted fish and chips so we asked our Uber driver where the best place to go and he recommended this place. We was served by Sal who was very welcoming and gave us a lil history about his store. The fish and chips was absolutely lovely!!!... But the fried Mars bar and Snickers was the highlight for me. I really wasn't expecting it to taste so nice!!! Patiently waiting for a franchise in London! Thanks again!

Tasty fish and chips, nice and hot. The fish was huge, and provided a very hearty meal. The gentleman serving was friendly and helpful.

This place have no clue how to make good fish or chips. Fish was ruined over cooked and the batter was hard and solid like battle Armer on a soldier from ancient times. Really hard and strong!! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING. I love fish and chips.. This place clearly doesn't!! The chips also left a lot to be desired, standard freezer bag so hard an tasteless. Not fresh And at the price of 9.5The man who sold me this cheap polystyrene box of hard core and rubble was left aware of my dissatisfaction as I paid because my partner said don't pay for it. However you keep the money. And keep this review. It will be with you long after I have forgotten about the Cafe Piccante scandal expirence.From A Fish and Chips lover and shaken irl friend.

This small Fish and Chips shop has a big WoW factor - the quality of the food is excellent - I had really big proper haddock and tasty chips along with a kind service. Thank you for being so kind!

We Just arrived at Edinburgh and went there veryyyy hungry.We ate the BEST Fish and Chips, Burgers and the Fried Mars bar was extremly good!!!Also the staff was extremly friendly❤️❤️❤️❤️100/💯

Alrighty. I've popped into this wee slice of heaven a fair few times now and the quality of the chips are on point, perfection or close to it. Crisp & tasty and always fresh.The quality of both the battered items and the pizzas are mouth water inducing delights.Though I would love to see chips become a more affordable treat, I can do nothing other than highly recommend this place if you enjoy a great quality chippy.

Deep fried Mars bar...why not?? This was my first time so I cannot compare. The service was quick, easy, and the fried mars delicious

Came here today, had a deep fried pizza which was an interesting experience for sure!. Being able to eat in was a bonus too. I enjoyed it more than my friend did, also battered chips means something else here than in the Midlands.
