Eating places here work only from 11 a.m., and this coffee house is a real salvation among cold and windy Scottish weather. And these kind Samaritans have free toilet here, it's fantastic in this greedy town. Only one seat is available but it's when it's good not far from Edinburgh castle where common service level now like in William Wallace' times.

Friendly staff and always tasty coffee. Central and quiet sitting area.

Embracing Coffee and Friendship! This cute tucked away Caffè is such a delightful place to wind away time with friends. A must place to spend some time whilst visiting this great city .

Tea was okay but the space is very tight and there are too many table in a very small space. I was there fairly early and it wasn't very clean. Both the floor and the tables.

This is by far the worst & only bad Cafe Nero i have ever been too. The staff is rude to everyone and the thing that baffled me is the way they allow to use toilets to customers. The toilets are locked and I found it very funny actually . I have been to places where we have to pay entry fees to use toilet facility , I have seen shops where they keep display boards that toilets cannot be used by non customers, but seriously a locked pass-coded toilet is first experience for me.And since I am very new to the concept of ultra secure toilets,I found the whole idea to be strange and kind of disrespecting the customers. I do understand their motive that they don't want non customers to use their toilets, but I am curious what percentage of people did queue up at their place considering it as a public toilet instead of coffee shop, that, they had to end up locking it!!Its even funnier that if anyone wants to attend a sudden nature's call, you need to ask the rude staff for passcode and she will shout the code. While i was on the queue Miss Rude, shouted the code to at least three customers.Omg!! Had it not been for the super secure, confidential locked toilet i would never want to be again in Cafe Nero @Parliament square.

Absolutely awful and rude service by the Staff! In particular the Blonde Woman who appears to be the Manager! She should not be working in a public facing role. Rolling her eyes and abrupt tone and throwing the order on the tray as an open display of disdain for the customers.I cannot believe Cafe Nero have her in the role - particularly as Manager! And from the comments/reviews - I can tell that I am not the only one.Don't go there!

It was alright but no more. The place looks tatty and could do with a refurbishment with more open views on its great location along the Royal Mile. The cake and pastry were a bit stale.

Only visited to use toilets these turned out to be in a disgusting state. No one sitting at tables outside but all the tables were filthy had to ask staff to clean as we're busy chatting. Then nearly fell off the chair as back was broken and not noticed. Coffee was ok though. No way would I return to this establishment

Coffee is good, staff is nice, location is in the centre. Only the toilet is 2 star.
