One of the best buffets I’ve ever tried!!The food is so tasty and fresh and cooked to perfection.Their bubble waffles are heavenly!Super recommended!

Great food, amazing price for lunch. Drink prices excellent, even alcohol prices. Definitely worth to visit. It’s my first time in the city and I’m so happy that for lunch I visited this buffet. Food delicious, fresh, and mainly super tasty. And staff also super helpful and keeping their eye on small details. Great choice of food from sushi, to curry, plenty of sides, so many choices.

Recommended! Shrimps are so f**king tasty and of authentic China’s flavour! This is true of the pan BBQ! Mango mousse is so great. Reasonable price! Tidy and quiet environments. Very good place to go if you miss Chinese cuisines so much here in Edinburgh.

The BEST restaurant in Edinburgh! Seriously! It is not the typical average buffet you would expect. The quality of food is better than in a Michelin Restaurant and there are soo many options to choose from. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian, sushi, Dim Sum, BBQ, Teppanyaki, Crepes and of course an amazing ice cream in a warm pancake cone 😋Definitely will be my go to restaurant from now on!

The overall experience was satisfying and in just less than £20, this is definitely worth your money! The restaurant’s decor is decent. The mix of reds and lines introduces you to the culinary world of China and its many provinces. Although there are parts of the restaurant that are darkly lit.As with any other buffet, if is fast paced. Never quiet. So don’t expect a fancy, candlelit dinner with soft violin music on the background. It’s a buffet. And it’s unpretentious.The food - diverse. From vegetables into different meat. There’s a lot of choices for everyone. I particularly liked the teppanyaki section - where you can ask the server to cook various protein such as beef, shrimp, and even scallops , in a teppan in front of you! So they serve it nice and hot!The dessert section though, isn’t as great. (And maybe I’m not a dessert person myself). But my girlfriend enjoyed (or atleast was attracted) to their bubble waffle. And you also customise your own waffle, with few ice cream flavours and toppings to choose from.Again, for it’s price you get a hefty meal with flavours that are satisfactory to your palate. This is almost like the Chinese take away menu, but elevated. And Chinese take always are amongst my comfort food. So, China Red really hit the mark. And many more! A must-try!!

I thoroughly enjoyed our evening at China Red! Food was beautiful with amazing range and choice, of all of our favourites dishes and even some we haven’t tried before. Lovely staff and clean bring modern restaurant where we felt very welcomed. Ensure you look around the restaurant as there’s lots of hidden gems! We will defiantly be returning when we’re in Edinburgh!

Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. The place was tidy, the staff was friendly, and the selection of food was very wide. We paid 11.99 for lunch, and it was worth every penny. So happy we discovered this place and visited it during our vacation in Edinburgh.

I am never a fans of buffet but this restaurant is must go place if you like Chinese cuisine and variety. I love it and wish there could be something similar in London. The roast duck is very tasty and I enjoy all the noodles dishes. Teppanyaki is good too, last but not least, the bubble waffle is a bonus! If I visit Edinburg again I will definitely be back! Service is excellent! Thank you.
