Chinese Manor House in Edinburgh

I enjoyed the starter and main, however my main of Singapore noodles weren't as spicy as I'd hoped for. My son thought his haggis starter was fabulous but thought his main of pineapple rice was OK. Staff were very friendly and efficient, the restaurant was very busy. Overall not a bad experience 🙂

First visit to this restaurant after going to go for years, not really in my area but I wish I’d went ages ago.There are plenty Chinese restaurants but this was excellent and well worth the travel, the staff are excellent attentive and efficient but the food is the prizeAll the usual but some really interesting dishes and what we had was first classReally tasty👍 Maybe not the cheapest but where is these days.

I had read good reviews and was excited to go .It was disappointing. The food was okay, good but not great, like a local Chinese take away, the staff were friendly but rushed our food, starter came really quickly, then they removed plates and were saying do you want your main coursed served now, which meant it was made. It was pricey for what we got, There was no chilli or sya sauce with starters,

Enjoyable food. Service could have been better especially when it got less busy but overall an enjoyable evening 😃

Oh my! Best Chinese food we've had in years! Restaurant is lovely, staff are friendly and attentive. Food is fresh, flavoursome and hot! Portions are good also. Warmers on the table to warm your plate and keep the food hot. Rice served in its own wee pot to keep warm as well. Reasonably priced. A lovely meal and a great start to a wee city break.

Lovely meal .but bit of a nightmare trying to order .phoned 18 times on Xmas eve .couldn't get a reply so ended up driving in to place order for Xmas day .restaurant was very busy lots of people been waiting ages to pick up orders .total chaos .totally different story on Xmas day they phoned to tell me it was ready .drove in picked it up no problems. Staff very friendly and lovely meal

First time been here for Xmas lunch. Food was amazing. Staff are really friendly. Definitely would recommend to friends and family.

1st time here finally. The food was delicious and our server was lovely very courteous and nothing was to much . We had 3 dishes to share and they were very fresh and flavoursome. We will be back . Thank you do much 😁

Ordered £70 worth of takeaway last night. Most of it was inedible, rice hard tasted like packet rice, roast duck in mango was inedible disgusting looking, crispy chicken like empty shells, half duck wasn't nice either. Really don't know what to say when this is supposed to be the best Chinese in Edinburgh, service was great but the food is really bad. £70 wasted we didn't eat!

Excellent place for a meal, special event or family meet up.Staff are friendly and attentive and full Covid precautions are in place.Food taste fantastic
