Lovely home-made pasta, including a haggis ravioli!Friendly staffLovely wines and deserts. My only criticism would be is that it is rather brightly lit, especially for an evening

This is just a lay down for its food quality, service, atmosphere and value equation. I enjoy veal but its hard to find properly prepared but they have several veal dishes on the menu and mine was done perfectly. On site owner, staff speak Italian, lots of locals. Amazing desserts. Would be a great stop for coffee and dessert if you didn't want a meal but you'd be missing out. Best to do it all here and then go walk it off exploring Edinburgh. Bravissimo!

Best Lasagna outside of Italy, also try the eye fillet steak and their delicious desserts, Antonio has a passion for fine Italian cuisine, all of his staff are long term team members, just a wonderful crew !

Day out in Edinburgh with a friend, we found this fantastic Italian Restaurant. Very friendly staff and absolutely excellent quality food . We had starter's of Crosstini Nduja and Bruscheeta. Well presented and just perfect . Mains Ravioli Al Granchio and Scalloppina Alla Romana. Again well presented and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately no room for a dessert but will definitely be going back when visiting Edinburgh in the future 🦀🥗🧀

Stopped off here for a coffee and coaxed in by the gorgeous array of cakes in the window. They did not disappoint. If we had more time in Edinburgh would have definitely come back for dinner. Beautiful looking Italian wine selection as well.

This is the best restaurant we visited in Edinburgh. Friendly staff and delicious meals I must say, I’m a super picky person when it comes to food but this was just awesome. Super neat and chilled atmosphere as well. I love it. Would definitely visit again when next we visit. Deserves a 5-Star!

A nice spot for Italian desserts and drinks. We tried lots of items including ice creams and canoli and sfogliatelle, all was nice but not too great. The menu is all Italian, and the people are nice. The less star is for the decor really which is too weird for me. It's all pirate themed and a bit dark for my taste, but it was definitely unique!

Excellent food! Had been there for lunch. Anna our waitress did a wonderful job looking after us. The pasta was fresh and delicious. The Nduja was yum! The tiramisu was lovely too.But the highlight no doubt was the gelato! Highly recommend visiting this place if you are ever in Edinburgh.( Don't have pics of the food because we were all to busy enjoying it)

This is hidden gem in Edinburgh. I would give 10 stars if possible! Covid safe and super-clean. Next time we are in Edinburgh we will pick a hotel nearby just to have a lunch or dinner in Ciao every day. For the first time I see dishes look exactly like on pictures. Proper Italian cuisine how it should be with freshly made ingredients including home made pasta. Everything is so delicious! We tasted pasta, pizza, starters, desserts and coffee. Came back second day. Plus you are treated like you are the most important person here in pleasant price range of local pub (12-15 pounds main dish). Owner is so delighted about his business like he has just started but it is here 27 years! Design is fabulous as well! Complementary drinks at the end is so nice tradition in generous Italian style. This very clean restaurant (toilets are spotless) is many levels above than what prices indicates. Employees seem to be very happy to work here which is important as well.
