·

Great beer, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Always worth a visit when in Edinburgh.

This is a great wee bar, large real ale selection but only one no alcohol selection, the standard for these types of pubs of Erdinger.. I've had food here before and it is top notch

·

Excellent wee Indy pub, no music or TV so no noise (especially welcome on big match game days if you want a pint but not to watch the sport!), excellent range of cask ales, owner really good on the beers and happy to suggest ales you might like

·

Been going to this bar for many years. Recently went for a few drinks with friends who I had not seen since lockdown. Was all going well until we were approached by one of the bar staff who asked us "to speak more quietly". No idea why as we were just conversing normally. We finished our drinks and left.Very disappointing.

·

Great pub with friendly staff set in a former Cloister building with a range of beers and ales on tap, with plenty guests brews. Good atmosphere inside and some good novels to pass the time. Definitely worth a visit.

·

Always a good selection of real ales and keg beers, though fewer than usual during Covid restrictions. Friendly service, currently at tables. Need to book in advance, though this may change soon.

·

Nice and well supplied pub with food. Edit: in my last visit June 21 I felt pushed by staff to order more drinks even if I still was half way through my current drink. They were a bit abrupt at the end taking ours drinks away at 22:30. I'm dropping one star.

·

Great bar, fabulous range of ales, cask and craft. Knowledgeable staff - and Hogan’s cider!Good food from street vendor- but get there early for a seat

·

Excellent service and a really friendly atmosphere. The pub is next to a church (hence the name cloisters) and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Best pub in town. Always a fantastic selection of ales / beers and whisky. Very relaxed atmosphere coupled with excellent service
