Quite a busy place. Loved the sunny window side with a medi glass of hot cross bun latte. The view was excellent to watch sea of people walking across the Princess street. With the castle on the hill!

As a disabled person, this place is all but inaccessible. Stairs, and lot of them, steep and narrow. Toilet up another two flights. No toilet paper, Costa napkins in dispenser, that will please Edinburgh City Council. Whole place tired and staff a bit tired looking too. View of castle brilliant but there are better places than this shabby wee place to view it.

I had been in this Costa a few years back on a visit to Edinburgh and remembered it as a bit of a disappointing experience - quite busy vibe, noisy, difficult to relax.I still went in again on a recent visit, more for old times' sake then for anything else, and actually it felt the same - a tourist trap with airport atmosphere.

The service I received was absolutely disgusting. I use a crutch because of my legs. I had got a medium latte in a glass, a bottle of coke and 2 slices of caramel handed on a tray. I was never asked if I would like Assistant, because of this just as I took the Tray whilst still holding my crutch, I spilt the hot latte all over my hand, all over my jacket and boots. Only one lady helped me. The other two didn't batter an eyelid. To busy pushing orders through to the extent that orders were being messed up. Totally and utterly diabolical.

Lots of steep stairs to get to the cafe and another flight to get to the toilets . The coffee itself is standard Costa but the whole place was tired and messy . It needs a good refurbishment . The best part was the location with views of the castle . It’s a shame that the actual cafe doesn’t match this .

Absolute trash. Baristas here could probably do with a lot more training.I've had better coffee from a Costa Express machine at a petrol station.Pretty sure I paid for syrup but didn't get any.Surprised this branch even had any customers in it to be honest, as the front doors were not working properly making it difficult to even get in the shop in the first place.

Nice castle view and plenty of windows tables. It's lovely to be sitting there in a cold a sunny day.

·

Great view of the castle, even in the rain. Coffee and service is the same as most of Costa coffees

Best Costa I've ever been to!!! Gorgeous seating area upstairs overlooking Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle. Comfy chintz period seating! Really worth it!

Nice view with a quite good cup of coffee! Clear and reliable. Also you can take a selfie in front of a huge mirror!
