Lovely farm shop and cafe. Friendly and helpful staff. Prices are not too bad for being fresh and organic. They could do with a little more for vegetarians and/or gluten people on their cafe menu. Or at least offer that they can do this by tweeking the recipes they already have on their menu's . But all in all very nice. I shall be going back there and soon.

This is a very interesting place to visit, it's a very well run with very efficient and friendly staff. Good range of farm produce, and the food in the cafe was absolutely amazing. Adding to the food experience you could buy certain products that was used on your plate. And to add there's a play area which any child should get the chance to have fun just so well fitted out with two actual tractors 🚜 swings and more. Just truly brilliant.

I had such a great experience at Craigies farm! Pumpkin picking is something I had been wanting to do for a while and it was so fun at their farm. They have a wide range of fruits & veg to pick and the loveliest shop where you can buy their own produce such as eggs, cheese, jams etc. Overall loved it and would recommend to anyone!

Lovely hospitality, delicious bennedict eggs, beautiful view, amazing experience, would add a better signs as it's not clear how to move around, and the food it's a bit pricey, it's not like isn't worth it but I wish I could afford going more often.

Just a fun place to go to do your own fruit picking . This is real fresh fruit better than any big grocery chain prepacks .We love the Strawberries 🍓Cherries 🍒, Apples 🍎 and Plums and all sorts of vegetables and herbs. The shop also has homemade jams and Scottish bakery. The children loved it ❤. Especially the goats and hens .

Founded in 1966 and run by the husband and wife team, John and Kirsteen Sinclair, Craigie’s is the ultimate foodie destination, a place to ‘pick our own’ and a kiddie space where fun is most definitely on the cards! Just a stone’s throw from Edinburgh, it’s a refreshing rural escape that has something for everyone.👇Founder John Sinclair, his wife Kirsteen, their children Sophie and George and ‘Mrs S’, John’s mother Anne, are very much involved in the day-to-day running of the family enterprise alongside sixty or so staff members.👇As a fourth-generation farmer, farming has always been in John’s blood. Taking over from his parents in 1995, he and Kirsteen have turned around a struggling beef and dairy farm to develop a thriving soft fruit and vegetable growing business and farm village that now welcomes 260,000 visitors each year.👇Craigies Shop was opened in 1988 with a one-table shop in a converted barn and added the Café in 2007. It has expanded over the years to offer an extensive Pick Your Own and Little Farmers, an adventure farm park for children and families opened in Summer 2021.👇From humble beginnings, Craigies Farm has grown to become one of the UK’s leading farm shop destinations and represents the very best in modern Scottish farming.👇“I’ve been immersed in farming my whole life, following in the footsteps of my late father. Farming and family are at the heart of everything at Craigies Farm where we strive to offer a complete modern farm experience to showcase the value of farming to our communities and allow them to be part of it.👇At Craigies Farm you can eat, shop, play and ‘PYO’ are surrounded by stunning countryside just outside Edinburgh. You can see the produce we grow in our fields, pick your fruit, see how our jams are made and enjoy the very best in food and drink that’s on our doorstep!”👇John and Kirsteen are passionate about quality locally-grown food of absolute provenance. Their high standards can be seen across all aspects of the business from the food served in the café, to the products stocked in the shop, to the fruit and vegetables grown on the farm.👇The Craigies in-house butchery offers quality meat from local farms and our staff are fully trained to offer an exceptional customer experience.👇Hope enjoy my photography 📷

Good place to spend half a day here in the farm.Pick your own fruits become famous and a must do once in a year to feel the farming. Craigie’s is close to EDINBURGH.We spend a good walk around the strawberry and raspberry fields to pick some. That was good fun but muddy due to the rain yesterday as expected. But sunny day to complement our entire time at craigie’s.It’s been few years since we have visited this place, improved cafe, kids play area and better car park area new and surprise to us. Decent food, local and Scottish produce through out the farm shop. Good size of crowd but friendly staffs to manage. We will go next year again.

Easy to find and plenty of parking. Booked on line in advance for 2 people. This was £10 which is redeemable against any produce you pick.My 1st visit and I can't wait to go back for pumpkins in October ! The fields already had some big ones growing. There are hand washing facilities at the entrance near the big strawberry shaped pods - this is where you have your goodies weighed.Today we pulled leeks and spring onions. Gathered some green and golden courgettes too. There was corn and French beans available along with mint ( loads), lots of basil and flat leaf parsley.Spotted blackcurrants near the veg tooBut collected ours in between the rasps.Down by the strawbs there are plum trees. Take a 6ft 4 person with you and they will find the good ones ( dont forget to check the ground for dropped ripe ones too! )The rasps at the top of the plants are massive and super tasty too. We took our goodies to the strawberry pods to be weighed. In total we spend approx £25 - £10 of which was covered by entrance fee. There is a farm shop here too selling everything you can pick, (and more) - by the kilo. Plus fresh eggs (you can pyo, but we found none - approx 2.30pm) bunches of onions plus lettuce, peppers and even avacadoes! There is a butcher counter, cheese counter and individual chocolates of many delicious flavours. Delicious ice cream flavours to try too. Toilets located inside here as well.Loved it . Will be back !

Amazing day out if you've got good weather! Went for 11am-2pm. There's a cafe and deli with lots of tasty food aswell, we got strawberries, cheeries and peapods and there was loads to choose from. Definitely recommend!

Amazing place for family and kids. Open farm to pick fruits and vegetables. Big Indoor playground for children.Recommend travel by car if possible. It's quite a long uphill walk from the nearest bus stop and there's no walk path.
