Crolla's Gelateria in Edinburgh

Amazing little find in leith, just off the water of leith walk. Great value for money and ice cream flavours on offer are really good (Lotus Biscoff, Oreo, White choc) didn’t get a pic but cookie dough/waffles looked amazing as-well.

My last visit to this place was awful. The icecream selections were the only good thing about this place. However, we orders a cold stone icecream which was awfully done, three bulges of I cream was placed on the stone with some sauces and chocolate pieces, swished around with a spatula and scooped in a tub!! Didn’t see a point of doing that!! It wasn’t flattened and rolled as you’d expect. We also ordered cookie dough which was again very disappointing as it was served on the parchment paper that was baked in. A small spoonful of icecream was placed on top with some sauce causing the cookie dough to stick to the parchment paper and the tiny amount of icecream to milt on top mixing Witt the sauce! It was awful!!! Finally there was a guy complaining of staff being so unprofessional and unhelpful where the manager didn’t accept his complain, raised his voice over the customer, and said that they were doing their job!!! if you looking for a place to eat icecream and chill don’t come here and look for somewhere with trained and willing to help staff!

Went Monday 18th April. 2 girls serving was so disinterested, one sat on the floor at the back of the counter on her phone whilst the other stood at the counter doing the same. Main issue was the lack of cleanliness. The pancake / waffle making machine in particular was a disgrace, ok it was early evening and had probably been used all day but when the girls were more intent on using their phones than doing a basic clearing up. Shame as the ice cream is passable and the location is great.

Would give 0 stars if possible.Visited the shop on 2.4.22.Was served by rania. Very poor attitude and customer service skills. Was too busy talking to other staff members. Paid in cash to be told that she didn't have enough change from £10 then miraculously had the change after 5mins of searching till.Visited again 3.4.22.Was served by rania again.Thought I would give shop a second chance. Apon approaching store the music was loud enough to be heard outside. Apon entering empty store had to wait to be served as staff finished eating chinese. Made my order and asked for a iceblast to be told the machine was broken although I could see it working. Very poor customer service skills. Had same problem. Again with getting my change was told she didnt have change in till. On both occasions none of the staff were wearing face masks. Also witnessed rania unable to pick up a slice of cake from chiller with tongs, instead she used her hands without gloves and hadn't washed her hands after eating and touching till and cash. Unlikely I will be returning which I'd a shame as kids love the selection of ice cream and cones on offer.

I was a last min customer tonight @ 9pm. I understand it's near closing time the staff where lifeless dull couldn't be bothered attitudes but this shouldn't effect customer service.The girl who we had all the interactions with at the till was rude the whole 10 mins we where there.Like our custom was an inconviece we had interrupted them eating. First She didn't want to count change asked if we could pay by card because she didn't have ANY change. So she took money out of the TIPS we couldn't add to order after this and was told things where out of order. Didn't want to take more orders. Lacking Customer service.Eating whilst working is unprofessional. The music before entering the restraunt could be herd it was so loud.Expectations for family accommodating restraunts are friendly atmospheres are MUST when you have young children. I don't think we would visit again.

Love Crollas! Such a fantastic selection of delicious ice cream and desserts! The best thing about Crollas though is the lovely Thomas! I go in regularly with my daughter and we always look forward to seeing him! He’s so cheery and just the loveliest person! Nothing is too much trouble and he makes THE best desserts! Amazing! Large selection of ice cream and other desserts. Nice location being by The Shore - easy to get to and walkable. The place looked cute and would be ideal for coffee with desserts dates or for families to take their kids to as they have plenty of options with milkshakes/puddings etc.

The girl said to sit and check menu. Waited by the table around 30 min, nobody came to serve, 3 persons behind the counter, they didn't mention I have to come back to order by the counter. Ordered Large ice cream coldstone creation and coffees, one ice cream came, after 10 min another ice cream, then I asked can we have coffees with the ice cream. We got everything in paper tubes and ice-creams looked so ugly. Yes, and very dirty place.

The staff working today (Sunday 13th Feb) were lovely and kindly let us sit in despite is originally ordering take-out. It was miserable with the rain so it was appreciated. Son enjoyed a waffle and milkshake. I had a coffee which was tasty! We will definitely be back.

I ordered 2.5 hours ago and didnt get my food. Phoned 1 hour ago and they said they are very busy and it should arrive soon... never got it! Its after 10pm today and they are closed. So cant claim my money back today. Need to phone them tomorrow! I CANNOT recommend them! NEVER AGAIN!Update: the order arrived at 22:35 pm. And I m eating my ice cream now at midnight instead of 8pm....and the extra ice cream as an excuse for the long wait has never been put into the bag.... VERY DISAPPOINTING
