The most exquisite food & wine, very attentive friendly staff who’s knowledge of the food and wine that they serve is phenomenal. The intimate setting creates a relaxing, romantic atmosphere. Would certainly return, particularly for the Ragu & Panna Cotta.

One of the best wine and dine experience's available in Edinburgh, with a superb staff with excellent knowledge of wine. Be it on a date or just exploring the culture of wine, it's always an amazing visit

Excellent food - very flavoursome. Very comprehensive wine list, which the sommelier talked us through, gleefully.

Big shout for the manager ( James if i remember correctly). Professional and friendly took in our merry bunch and magically made a table for us in place packed up to rafters. For a first time in the UK we got served vodka that was actually cold ( we drank shots) and we enjoyed it Russian way.Wine and food followe.Well done guys.

Sublime experience for our anniversary. Exceptional bespoke service throughout we were welcomed and offered a drink at the bar before being sat in the restaurant. We felt like we were on a 1:1 dining experience with the Cuban waiter who knew the menu like the back of his hand. Cocktails were exceptional, the house special ravioli was to die for and the pasta main dishes really hit the spot. Our favourite Italian of all time and we eat in nice restaurants a lot! Bellisimmo!

What can we say , the welcome here was warm and friendly, the ambiance is romantic and very Italian with old wine bottles and bare brickwork everywhere. We were given olives to enjoy at our table which had a candle and had water to drink freely. We weren't rushed at all. We were given the wine we ordered and our starters which were frighteningly good, ravioli and mixed breads with oil and balsamic.Mains of beef cheek and another of carbonara both perfect in every aspect.Dessert was amazing of course hazelnut torte and another of tiramisu with coffee. The whole meal left us satisfied but not feeling over bloated, and we have booked again for tomorrow it's that good.

Very pleasant meal with my partner on our last night in Edinburgh. Fantastic selection of wines. We skipped main courses and simply opted for the cheese salato, the meat salato, bread basket, olives and shared a cocktail and affogato for dessert. The service was fantastic - the cheeseboard and meatboard were explained to us, and the order of tasting recommended. We happily obliged and thoroughly enjoyed the homemade bread, balsamic vinegar & oil.Our dessert was our favourite - the espresso martini was the best espresso martini we've ever tasted, and we don't say that lightly!! The affogato was also to die for - gelato rolled in meringue pieces, doused in fine coffee. Yum. Would definitely return.

This place has beautiful decor. Exceptional service. A fantastic wine list but unfortunately the food isn't the best. The wine we were recommended tasted lovely and complimented our dishes. The service was fantastic. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. But unfortunately the food was below average. Overcooked pasta on both plates. Classic Italian bread which was old and stale. The guanciale in the carbonara was very hard. I will not be returning for a meal but potentially returning for the wine.

Excellent wine bar in Edinburgh. With such a large selection of wines I would recommend one of their flights to try before settling on just one. Still can't decide? Just ask any of the knowledgeable staff to find the best wine for you.
