They have vegan cake, soya milk and also pup cakes for dogs!! Sat outside in the sun and really enjoyed it

My partner and I visited the Duck Inn for the first time at the weekend on the off chance of getting some food. The aggressive manner in which we were spoken to by who we assume is the owner was appalling and caused us to leave before ordering. Such a shame as we had been looking forward to visiting for some time.

I have been staying in Kilspindie House Hotel Ducks restaurant in 2008-09 and I have been an employee there. I had room on my own and a job which was great...I admire staff in there because I returned in 2018 with group of people for brunch and saw the same staff working in there...I sincerely think how faithful are to the organisation and was great to see them again.. it is great place to visit and stay in Ducks Inn because it has a golf place and meet quiet few golf players too at the time...I hope in the future I return again 😀 and hopefully they will do well on their business in the near future and future...wishing them all well and would recommend the place definitely.

The staff, rooms, breakfast were fantastic and only surpassed by a brilliant night in the bar where the lovely staff allowed us to attempt the "pace putt" challenge. Great place to stay, eat and drink if you are in the area.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here on Thursday night, staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful. Food excellent, we are in the bar which shares same menu as restaurant. Relaxed and friendly. Thank you.

Excellent place to stay when playing golf in the area. Great breakfast to set you up for the day. Food was good with a varied choice on the menu.

We went for lunch after a walk, we enjoyed the Cullen Skink, the service was good and the staff friendly. We were asked if we wanted bread with our soup, we said we did and got two soft rolls, probably warmed up in a microwave. The shock came on payment, each roll cost £3.50. As a famous tennis player once said, "you can't be serious", unfortunately, they were. First, most establishments automatically serve some bread / roll with soup, second I know businesses need to make a profit but this spoilt what was otherwise a pleasant visit. We may visit again and try the cakes next time.

Picturesque hotel in a the lovely village of Aberlady, that's unfortunately let down by the tired and frankly overpriced twin room in which I stayed. While the bedroom itself looked OK, the beds were quite uncomfortable and the bathroom was very dated. It also wasn't the cleanest, with quite a bit of black mould in the shower. Furthermore, two of the three celling lights in the bathroom were broken, as were a couple of bulbs in the room. The food in the hotel was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful, but the room (particulaly the dingly bathroom) were a letdown given the price we paid for it. I've stayed in places that were half the price that had much better rooms.
