We had a wonderful breakfast there when visiting Edinburgh and would love to revisit if we go Edinburgh again.-Food: 5 (the sweet and savory toast, cheesy cream tuna toast we had were amazingly delicious! My husband and I felt those meals were made with nice cares.)Atmosphere: 5 (I love the casual and not too crowd vibes there, the space is not really big, which gives this place a sense of coziness.)Staff: 5 (they were really friendly and kindly took photos for us when we asked if they could help.)

I cannot say enough good things about Fortuna. We went every morning during our stay nearby. The coffee each morning was perfect and the staff were very friendly and always greeted us. The lemon muffins are to die for. We also tried several of the breakfast toasts which were also extremely good and very fresh.

Lovely people and nice aesthetic inside and outside. Aside from that, their food is delicious. We ordered cheese toastie and scarmbled eggs in toast plus bacon. We also ordered coffee and hot chocolate. This spot is good for breakfast! I love supporting local and independent shops since there menus are original 👍🏻👍🏻

We had breakfast here, and it was great. Small and cozy place, with a rustic feel to it. Me and my company both had avocado toast and a banana nest each, with coffee and juice. Everything was delicious and well prepared.

The hummus avocado & veg toast is a must-try here, this combination of avocado and hummus really surprised me, with the wise compliment of crisp vegetables, a different layer of texture, on top it was so refreshing and tasty. I also tried the cheese toastie with tomatoes plus extra avocado the other time, and it got both cheddar and brie, a really delicious cheesy mix that just can’t go wrong with.Their coffee is provided by Machina, a roastery in Edinburgh. I love their flat white very much, which came rich with a nutty note. A dog-friendly café and I saw the owner offered treats to furry customers.

We stayed at the Native so the cafe was right next door. Came in seeing the reviews, and can’t agree more; it’s a cozy place with great food.Tried the ham and cheese croissant, the cheese toastie, banana nest - all of which were really tasty and fresh.Chai latte and matcha latte for coffee. Also really nice. The staff were really friendly and sure brightened up our day before the adventures began.

Delicious cheese toastie and hot chocolate. This place has a really nice and cozy vibe. The attention we received was amazing. Highly recommend. Photo attached is of a decaffeinated flat white.

Right next door to our hotel was this wonderful little café run by a very friendly couple , it was so good we came back for 2 mornings in a row to have our breakfast , the flat whites were just perfect and the grilled cheese and ham croissant were a fab way to start the day , my partners highlight was finding another place that served her favourite turmeric lattes

The best mocha I had in a while, proper chocolate used and you can really taste the difference in the drink.Salmon toast as expected, nothing too special but doesn't go wrong either. However I was not a fan of the brownies. There are unmelted sugar granules in the bite.

Fantastic food and coffee! I am not usually a breakfast enthusiast but I tried the berry bowl here and I found myself wolfing it down because it was so delicious. Loved it. And the latte was great as well. The prices are not ridiculous, so if you are in the area you definitely have to try this Cafe out! Extra cookie points: they accept American Express
