Frederick Street Cafe Bar Restaurant in Edinburgh

I enjoyed my dining experience in there. My wife and I ordered the Breton Fish Stew and Moules Frites which are both delicious, and the staff are all very friendly and attentive.

Finally tried cote and after much promotions by so many people the place did not let itself down. Very nice place with lovely and friendly staff. Visited it on my birthday and it was special. We all went for the fixed menu and I must say the food was quality and very reasonable pricing. Had a glass of Malbec which complimented my meal. I will surely visit again. Thank you once again.

Fantastic place to start our Christmas getaway. Food absolutely great. I had beef cheeks and they were fabulous. Scott looked after us and was very welcoming and attentive. Couldn't ask for more. Highly recommend.

Cote is a triumph. My partner eats there regularly with friends and we often take visitors. It’s mid-priced and excellent value with nice touches like cloth napkins and decent cutlery, glasses etc. The food is really good, not fancy , just well executed, tasty and plenty of choice. But it’s the staff that make the difference in the Edinburgh branch. Helpful, welcoming, smart and unobtrusive. Worth a decent tip

Fantastic place to eat, spent Christmas Eve 2021 here for amazing food and wine. Absolutely first class. Beef Cheeks to die for. Scott looked after us really well, friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and he made our evening really special making the start of our Christmas break away very special

Had a really enjoyable family supper here. Our waitress was very friendly and made great recommendations. We had fantastic food but the crab starter, beef cheeks Bourginon and seabass fillet were very, very good. A great evening.

Great lunch and a really nice waitstaff. The chicken paillard was one of the best I've had at any French brasserie. Simple but very flavorful. A little bummed that brunch ends at 2pm. Typically, Sunday brunch (in NYC at least) goes to at least 4pm. No big deal! This just means I'll have to come back to try some of their brunch dishes!

The service and food are great. I love the pork belly and the baguette with the crab; so delicious! My friend and I didn’t try any dessert because we were full. I’d like to try some desserts next time!
