Good Choice Chinese Takeaway in Edinburgh

Used to be better, Prices are not same as advertised. Ordered meal deal for one and was overcharged. (New staff).

If I could give 0 stars I would. Got the message from just eat saying my order was on the way. 45 minutes went by and still no food (mind they stay just 7 minutes away). Contacted the restaurant that said the driver got a flat tire and would be in 5 minutes. Convenient excuse. Obviously after 5 minutes the driver was not here. Another 15 minutes went by when food finally arrived. Besides the horrible delivery, the food tasted horrible... Like the rice was so dry and tasted like old rice. Spring rolls, the worst I have ever eaten. It was like all the food was just plain old and was just warmed up before delivery. Disgusting. Never again.

Ordered food from here over one hour ago, it is now saying that is has been delivered and telling me to enjoy my food, can’t really enjoy it if I haven’t received it can I? And can’t get a answe either, good one.. won’t be back

I've been ordering from this shop since I was a kid, I even moved back into the area and one of the major upsides is being able to order from this Good Choice again!I admit I'm not the most adventurous person when it comes to food but everything i've ever tried from here has always been delicious! Honestly the main reason I'm leaving this review is i simply think the "3.5 star" rating it currently has as im writing this seems far too low, its easily the best chinese delivery choice their is in the area. For the price and locality you cannot beat it!

I ordered sweet an sour vegetables with rice and some chips. The sweet ans sour was like soil, without any taste, the rice and chips was okay (what a surprise...) in the last 5 years I always had just sweet and sour and I love it but this wasn't a sweet and sour. Next time you should use the uncle Ben's jar because that's better than yours... And btw 1.5hour from the order until the delivery? Ridiculous. I'm sorry that I've read the reviews just after I already placed the order. Never ever again.

The guy behind the counter was very chatty. His conversation was very welcoming and sincere. This was great to talk to someone without them or myself feeling uncomfortable being around each other with the current epidemic. The food was great, and very comfy seat. Was prepared very quickly and there was loads! I usually order online. Would not mind just picking up in future.

I was a regular customer, but now and for some time the phone is always engaged, and I mean all night long. I get the impression they are dealing with those who order through Just Eat as a priority . Don't think I'll be using them again.

Used them a few times, always ok, then a few weeks ago took 2 hours to get my order, had to fight for a refund gave them the benefit of the doubt so ordered again tonight putting it down to a one off. Ordered a portion of noodles spring roles and sweet and sour sauce, over an hour later and still no food, contact from restaurant zero, then got update to say going to be another 40 minutes. Avoid then like the fecking plague shower of useless sh!tstains

I have not been here for 6 months had to eat here last night as my usual was closed, chicken chow mein was very greasy and the chicken extremely salty, I think the oil needed changing and I did go last half hour before closing but it should be the same quality from opening to closing. Banana fritters were nice but main meal I wouldn't even give it to my dog it went to the bucket too much grease and salt.

Ordered Singapore Fried Rice and Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings. The rice was fantastic although I would say it wasn't filled to the top of the container as expected. The wings were crispy and tasty and no complaints there. Would definately order from them again, if I pass through the area.
