Hanam's Middle East Restaurant in Edinburgh

I was celebrating my daughter's 18th birthday, we wanted to try something new. What an experience, we were well greeted and had great interaction with the staff and management. Our food was insane, flavour explosion and substantial portions. I would highly recommend trying Hanam's we will absolutely be back. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

We were greeted warmly by Ali who was all smiles despite being busy with lots of customers and appeared to be on his own. The menu was delightful with lots of choice for small plates and traditional kebabs. Ali guided us through our selection and it had the perfect balance of flavour and contrast. The lamb hummus was a revelation and a simple salad elevated with careful spice and seasoning made the perfect accompaniment for the mixed kebab , which was delicious. Really great find in Edinburgh. Thanks Ali it was a pleasure 🙏 ☺️

A lovely place right outside the castle. I ordered the lamb shwarma and the lamb chops. I can honestly say it was the best shwarma I've had in the UK and I've eaten at many many places, the lamb tasted fresh and was quite juicy. 10/10. Well worth it.

Well worth a visit. Fabulous authentic food, prepared with care and love, what more could you ask for? Six of us dined here yesterday evening and ordered a range of starters, sides, main courses and desserts. Everyone loved their food, the Rose Dessert cake was probably the best dessert I have ever tasted, although every one on our table would argue the same in favour of the choices they made, we all had a wonderful meal. Keep doing what you are doing, we will be back, Thank you.

Turkish cuisine we had very good food and the service was really very fast

A wonderful place to take a lunch break while walking the royal mile. The Qozy Lamb is cooked to perfection and is tender and chewy. Don't think you can go wrong with it. Also it's great for the price that you're paying.

Good Halal food and good vibe. Has a shisha lounge outside. Which is cheap £13. During summer it will be a vibe place. Service was great as well. Friendly staff

Lovely restaurant in the heart of Edinburgh.Great ambience, family friendly and loved the decor especially the middle Eastern lamps.Went with family and they accommodated the pushchair and provided a high chair for the little one. Baby changing facilities available and toilets were clean and decorated well.The waiter was attentive and helpful. The food (halal) was great and for all those shisha lovers out there I hear they have an area downstairs available!

First time visit, friendly welcome from staff, seated in a luvly spacious area, they also have an outside terrace underneath. Ordered our drinks, a bottle of wine, very reasonably priced, served by Ali, very chatty and nice. Ordered our food, Hummus and flat bread to share, mixed grill and charred prawns, and salad, again served by Ali and Daniela, all our food was delicious and freshly made, and very tasty. Highly recommend a visit, we will return next time staying in Edinburgh :) :)

Amazing Kurd food! Baba Ganoush was the best I have ever had. Almost everything is great. Falafel wrap was so-so though.Internal decor was very beautiful and (I guess) authentic Kurd. Visit downstairs to just see the private dining room.Saffron and cardamom ice-cream is a must try too!
