Always really good!I must say though that the salt and pepper bean curd before was much better! Crunchy and delicious but it seems that they changed the recipe. Are you ever going to bring that back? It was the best of the best!Still pretty good place to order from

Reliable, friendly service. Genuinely nice people doing a fab job. Delicious food with plenty of clearly labelled veggie options. Never disappointed! Thank you to everyone at Happy Rice.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I placed my order online with a note to say I am vegan. My order arrived and there was egg in the rice and chicken in the spring rolls so I phoned to ask if they could please replace it. After being shouted at and told it was my fault, they hung up on me. Very disappointing especially given the reason I ordered is that I currently have covid. They could have easily fixed the problem by sending a replacement but instead ended up making things far worse and I’m now left hungry with food I can’t eat.

I have been ordering ribs from this place for a while now. Recently, the ribs have become a lot smaller, and are mainly bones now with very little meat. I am very disappointed because I really like their ribs and have been quite a loyal customer. Last night, I got salt and pepper ribs and got half the quantity, and hardly any peppers or onions in them. Not what I paid for.

Happy Rice are my go to takeaway in Leith because they have great vegan options. Dishes are always fresh and normally pretty fast. Tofu with pickled ginger and pineapple is my favourite but their mock duck pancakes are good for sharing.

GREAT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD, GREAT PRICEI had the salt and pepper tofu and let me just say it was one of the best experiences of my life. Unforgettable, truly. That beautiful crispy crunch, the tantalising tingle of the chilli, the perfect level of salt. Indescribably good.I've ordered from them many times and my order has always been delivered fast, accurately, and by friendly staff. I simply haven't found a better takeaway in Edinburgh. If takeaways could get Michelin stars, Happy Rice would get five.Thank you for making my day.

If i could leave 0 stars i would. I ordered a "special "fried rice, ribs and "special" chow mein. The chow mein came with crispy noodles which were not ordered the sauce was like water made with tinned mushrooms. The special fried rice was at 7 pound a disgrace. It was a bit of rice with a little chicken and a prawn, no gravy whatsoever or any if the itger meats like beef and pork.I was starving by the time it arrived so had some of the noodles and rice.20 mins later i was peojectile vomiting into my toilet.I called them to say not only was my order been wrong and missing things it had made me sick. I was met with a tough luck attitude. He said there was no mamanger therefore there was nothing he could do. He ended up handing up in me.I spent 22 ponds plus delivery to puke my guts up. Make up your own mind on wheather you should order.Never again from me.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! Was charged £5.00 for a small tray of chips rice and curry sauce, £1 for a can of coke that has ‘79p’ price on the can and 50p for a snapped plastic fork. The curry sauce was bland and the texture was horrible!!! I will never buy from this Chinese ever again. I tried to ask the manager about it and he completely dismissed me. Rude

Service was quick. Ordered Thai green curry, which was not quite as expected. It was spicy hot and did not contain any coconut milk and did not have the usual flavour of a Thai green curry. Not that I pretend to be an expert! There was a lot of meat though and veg (fresh tomatoes!?). This was my first experience of this take away. I wasn't put off, but will probably try the traditional Chinese dishes next time.
