An exciting menu that sadly translates poorly into reality. During the pandemic we all learned to cook at home and this highlights professional chefs shortcomings. We now expect better.

Lovely evening again in this great eaterie. Dined with 2 friends. Menu is very good with lots of choices for all tastes and needs. We had 2 salmon burgers and a gourmet burger (meatballs!) which were all so delicious.Staff were so helpful, friendly and efficient. Return visit on my 'to do' list.....

Herringbone is one of my favourite places. The food is delicious, the staff helpful and friendly and the atmosphere relaxed and inviting. It has never disappointed. I am in love with the halloumi and avocado salad.

We popped in on an off chance to get some food, the staff managed to fit us in. The service was great, the food came and it matched the service we got.It has a great vibe that you could sit there all day eating and drinking. Would be great choice if you had the time.Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be back. Not to be missed.

We went for the festive menu and can highly recommend it! Chicken was lovely and the roasted veggies where cooked to perfection. Also would recommend the haggish starter to begin with. Drinks where great, staff where quick and helpful.

Wonderful relaxed atmosphere and high quality resturaunt and bar, with great service and amazing vegan options. We had the sourdough with advocado, and the toast with mushrooms. Highly recommend the chargrilled seitan 👌 with polenta chips, beetroot and butternut squash. Great sized portions, and every bite was exquisite. We will definitely be back soon to try more of the vegan menu.

I knew about The Herringbone for ages but for some reason never made the effort to visit. This was a mistake. The need for a venue at short notice during the tail end of the lockdown eventually had me place a booking. It's a good time to point out how easy the website booking system was and reassuring the process.Long story short; I've been back many times since. It's greatThe staff are friendly and savvy. Despite their best efforts it's the food that wins. The menu from the Herringbone is fairly expansive, and they have a vegan menu. I've been working thorough the main menu and while I've still not made it in for breakfast, everything else has been gorgeous. The chicken laksa, the hake, the salmon burger and even the smashed avocado on sourdough! I know, that last one makes the place sound hipster. I don't think that's a bad thing, but the Herringbone is far too friendly and open to be in any one niche. I think there's something here for everything unless you're looking for a sports pub. This is a gastro pub, not really a watering hole, but you could easily call it a restaurant too.Strongly recommended.

We had a vegetarian breakfast, avocado sandwich and iced lattes. Portions were big wmand super tasty. Iced latte with oat milk was smooth and good.Another time we had cauliflower soup, hummus with flatbread and a sandwich. Can't complain! Delicious
