Our local spot. We've been regularly visiting for the last three years. We noticed a significant improvement over the last few months. We like the food options, great prices, good kids' menu. It's a family-friendly pub. It's spacious and cosy. They did redo the interior, and looks even better now. We also enjoy the outside terrace. Spacious and sunny. Free parking on site. They organise quizzes and live music.

Attempted to go for tea here last night (Friday) for my dads 60th birthday meal. Was booked in advance however when we arrived we were told that there was no food. No prior warning or anything! They then said we could wait an hour however no promise of being fed as they had "a lot of walk ins" during the day... Whilst deciding what to do, we then seen some people come in, given a menu and told a 30 min wait?! Ended up leaving and going to another place, luckily we drove. Very disappointing.

I’d give no stars if I could. We get a babysitter for once and booked a table for 6-30pm. Ordered food at 6-40pm. We were advised may be a 40 minute wait . After waiting for 1hour and 50 mins with no sign of food we had to leave. Had to wait even to get a refund. This was to be my birthday meal so extremely disappointed. We were prepared to give place a chance after its refurbishment but we will never be back, even for a drink.

Been for lunch/dinner/drinks many times however booked for dinner on Saturday evening with wife and 2 kids. Once arrived advised that “the kitchen is shut”. I asked why and told “just been busy”. I then told them we had a table booked and was told we couldn’t have! Provided the confirmation text I had received. A different member of staff then approached the chef in the kitchen only to come back and say that he could not help and that someone had tried to phone us! We had no missed calls and trust me if we had we wouldn’t have made our children walk 15 mins to your restaurant then 15mins home again cold and hungry. Utter shambles

Spent 3 1/2hrs in restaurant due to problems in the kitchen. Lack of staff. Customers sat adjacent to our table who complained and happened to be there for just over 2hrs got a 20% discount of the bill and we were made to pay the full bill. Not one for complaining but was rather annoyed about it and especially seeing the chef forgot to provide us custard with our desert. Been there quite a few times during the pandemic and not happy with last weekend (Sat 15/01/22). Won't be returning soon

Went to the Hunters Tryst for a meal and the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was pleasant and the covid restrictions were well adhered to. I look forward to going back again.

I loved coming here for food. Our Ruby anniversary and as my husband had been ill we couldn't go away. We decided to go for lunch which we had done many times. Not a nice welcome sat us as close to the main door as possible. Told to order through the app even though we informed the member of staff we had problems before. Waited 20 minutes for drinks, 45 minutes for starters and main course was so dry we couldn't eat it.Terrible experience from start to finish. Ruined our Ruby anniversary.

Place is a shambles every time we visit. Raw chicken. 45minute table service for drinks. Clueless management. Booked for band with guaranteed view and sat in blind corner. I stay local and the Morrisons Cafe is bizarrely rated higher than this place for a good reason.

Excellent. Good value for money, in clean fresh surroundings. Food was excellent and the staff were very polite. Will certainly be back.

Tasty Food, good service and a fire which was nice as it was foggy outside.
