Innfusion Restaurant @ Jurys Inn in Edinburgh

The hotel was clean and tidy. The room decor was actually quite nice and the beds were very comfortable, although the pillows were a bit awkward. 1 wasn’t enough, two was too much. Nice sized TV, plug sockets beside the bed which is great. Many hotels don’t have that now…..why?? The location is also fab with some really nice views and shower was very reasonable, power not a problem.However, that being said, I was woke up at 04:30 by traffic and noise outside and couldn’t get back to sleep.The food…….. well for dinner I had a burger and chips. The chips were the most inedible chips I have ever tasted in my life. They were rock solid, stuck together and basically all crisp and no potato. They really were the worst chips I’ve ever had. The burger was tasteless, dry and the bun was beginning to harden. Nice coleslaw, although it was really a salad. I do wish when people advertise coleslaw they serve you coleslaw, even if it was nice.Breakfast was exactly what you would expect from a low - mid budget hotel in a city centre, overcooked sausages, cardboard bacon, eggs that resemble rubber etc etc, no shock there. Although the hash browns were terrible. Someone needs to advise the chefs how to cook potato based options.Staff were relatively friendly and helpful.This hotel is ok if you fancy a reasonably cheap night, the decor was actually nice though. You get what you pay for and this hotel is reasonably priced in a great location so I got what I expected, except those chips they really were abhorrent.

The Jury's Inn is in a perfect location very close to Waverley Train Station. The hotel staff were very professional up on arrival and we were allocated our room very quickly. Our room on the 5th floor had a lovely view it included a wet roon with a shower it also had a fridge in it which came in handy. It was a very modern room. I'd highly recommend this hotel to others 😊

We had a wonderful time as a family of six staying in the Jury’s Inn. Staff were attentive , friendly , kind and went the extra mile for us during our stay. The rooms were very comfortable, spotlessly clean and everything was finished to a high standard. Staff were so understanding when our ferry was cancelled, they were able to accommodate us for an extra night in the same rooms.We enjoyed breakfast each morning with a wonderful choice of food, cooked breakfast and continental breakfast which was of a very high standard. All of the staff who served us at breakfast were fabulous but I must mention Oliwia who went the extra mile in kindness to our family. She brought us extra gluten free toast and water.Staff also filled up our water bottles for the day before we left which was very much appreciated.We have stayed in Jury’s Inn before and again haven’t been let down.We will definitely be back soon. In standard double room lucky that our room was ready on arrival. Clean and spacious. The "rainfall" shower is amazing. Only downside was the view but not the hotels fault. Lady checking us in was nice too and very helpful to the couple checking in before us

Fantastic as usual. Post covid and we are rid of any restrictions the hotel I feel shall be back to full capacity. Ie cooking food. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.S Rae.

We had a one night stay in the standard double bedroom. The room was lovely and worth the price, plenty of teas and coffees and it was good to have whole milk as most hotels only offer semi skimmed. The shower was great and had both a rain type shower head and a proper power shower for getting clean, the only problem I had was in the morning construction works started early outside and this made getting back to sleep impossible. Hence the four star rating.

I had a great time at this hotel! If you’re coming to Edinburgh and want to stay close to town without paying ridiculous prices, stay here.Pros:- Location: right off the Royal Mile and close to the North Bridge. Everything is easily walkable (in an already super walkable city).- Cleanliness: the rooms were nice and clean, and you can request housekeeping’s services if you’re there long enough to need it. (Because of covid, they don’t come everyday.)- Staff: super friendly and accommodating people! We needed to do some work while we were there and they let us work in the bar area when it was closed for dining, which was perfect. We could even stand and work, which I prefer to sitting.Neither pro nor con:- Breakfast: if you need the convenience of having breakfast in the hotel, then it’s worth it. But if you don’t, I think you’d be better off going out for breakfast. There are so many cafes and restaurants nearby that offer more options and cheaper prices, that would be my preference.- The reception is technically in a different building from the rooms and breakfast area, and there’s no gym or anything “extra” if you’re looking for things like that. Didn’t bother me but I thought it was worth mentioning.Cons:- Street noise: I was in a room “with a view” (facing the Balmoral) and there’s a street below the hotel that is quite popular at night. So if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Also, between the Balmoral and Jury’s Inn is the train station that has loud announcements in the morning that I was able to hear at 5/6am. Again, didn’t bother me but if you’re disturbed by sounds like this, fair warning.

Room was lovely clean and comfortable, unfortunately, room was not very warm as the heating did not seem to be working, but reception were brilliant and offered us a heater..which did the trick, bathroom is small but does the job..heated towel rail not working.Breakfast buffet was plentiful and lovely., staff were quick with service.Dinner menu was not great and a bit pricey.but it was good when arrived.The morning of our departure the electric went out and did not come back on the rest of day, the staff were terrific and doing there best to get all guests relocated, to different hotels. The poor staff were frazzled but still cheerful and helpful.I wud def stay here again, it is very central and a few minutes walk from the royal mile and Waverly train station.

Great hotel. Friendly reception staff. Breakfast staff very friendly too. Good selection of food for breakfast. Room was clean and ample size . Only down side was lighting in room. Had to stand in bathroom to put makeup on as it was quite dark in the room. But had a great 2 night stay

Overall the hotel was good with friendly staff and quite a good choice for breakfast and the bedrooms were comfortable. However, the radiator in the shower room was not on at all during our stay at the end of September/beginning of October 2021, which meant that our towels ended up slightly damp everyday and when we asked about this at the reception we were told that the radiators are 'not switched on at this time of year' , that said there were additional towels in the wardrobe and we were also told that housekeeping would supply more towels when requested. But warm and dry towels would have made a better start to the day!
