Karen's Unicorn in Edinburgh

Just had a lovely meal here, my husband (for whom Chinese food is not his first choice) was very impressed and says we will return - high praise indeed! For me it was excellent as it had gluten free/dairy free options on a separate menu. Plus gluten free soya sauce. I am looking forward to returning.

This is more of a 3.5 star.There was a very good choice of food. I ordered Honey Pork and my partner order Beef in Chilli and Black Bean. Both dishes were delicious 😋. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. Our waitress could have been a bit more welcoming when we arrived at the restaurant but overall a nice experience

This is by far the nicest Chinese meal I’ve ever had! Staff lovely and very helpful. Will definitely be back next time we are in Edinburgh.

This place is very busy, tables are not empty long. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was really nice, portion size is big, prawn crackers are refilled when empty.I am Gluten intolerant and there was plenty for me to choose for starters and mains.I will definitely be back.

Really good meal at a really good price after finding it on google and taking a gamble based on reviews. £11.90 for a chicken curry and a soft drink. Considering I had lunch in the number 1 rated Chinese restaurant in Glasgow last week at twice the price for same thing. I was very happy. Food and portion size was a lot better at Karen's Unicorn. I really liked the small touch of giving you a jug of water with your prawn crackers. Nice little touch I've not saw anywhere else. Will be back at some point

Had a lovely meal, prawn crackers kept being refilled. Only downfall was the girl who served us couldn't show me how to use the chopsticks. Overall well worth a visit.

Visited this restaurant on trip to Edinburgh this week. Quite simply the best Chinese food we've eaten for a long time and very good value for money. Would recommend this restaurant a must if you are in the city.

Best Chinese I have had in a long time. The food itself is delicious, the service efficient and friendly. The dessert menu very small, but otherwise I could not recommend this more.

Sensational food amazing service and lovely setting. Well worth a trip

What a place. Big package in small packing. Cool, helpful n attentive staff. Great service. Delicious food. Prices r high but u r getting what u paying for. Superb atmosphere. Small place but they managed it well. It’s at main road mean easy to access, no need to find play with map. As u can see our table full of food, not we were hungry but we don’t wanna miss anything delicious 😋 worth to visit as we came from London & Bedford. Recommend it
