Unique flavour 👌 many copy cats 🐈 arrived in market with there flavour but original is original. If you want real ice cream you know where to go. S LUCA they do ice-cream birthday cake and you can hire there van or proper traditional Roll Royce for functions and events but advance booking is required. The only reason giving 4 stars 🌟 instead of 5 is because during university holidays in winter the ice cream can be a little bit icey instead of creamy.

We came in today for the first time with my husband, son and a friend. I must say that I was not impressed by the service. I am usually an easy client to please, but I felt unwelcome and patronised by the young lady at the till. We had no idea about the shop, the experience and the options to expect. We came in very impressed by the list of flavours available. Very excited to try some. I went straight into the queue and waited for a turn. When it was my time to order, I made my selection. I asked for ice creams and coffees to sit in. The lady made comments and said that I should not be allowed in as I was ordering at the till. I understood afterwards that you also offer table service upstairs. However, instead of being condescending, unfriendly and unprofessional, the staff members could have just asked and explained the concept. We wanted to sit in to enjoy some yumminess with our four-year-old.On a positive note, our ice creams were delicious. I am impressed by the number of flavours available. I loved the Dragon fruit sorbet and Nutella ice cream - I highly recommend them. The staff upstairs was amicable and professional.I’m not sure if we’ll come back, to be honest. It’s a shame as we all enjoyed the treats but had an abysmal experience, and while eating my ice cream, I could not think about my recent experience. I even questioned if I had this poor treatment because of my French accent.

Good ice cream but it's very expensive per scope. The people serving are inattentive and unfriendly. Yesterday despite a long cue that stretched out the door. I witnessed an entitled customer walk in and walk straight to the front of the cue and get served before all the customers who were waiting. The staff seem so disinterested in their role and surroundings that this, didn't appear to be an issue to them.

Having been a regular at the Musselburgh branch and having never had any complaints about the service, I must say that I’m utterly appalled by what I witnessed at the Morningside branch. The service staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, I was personally served by a lovely young lady and very sweet young man in the upstairs area. They were kind and conversed while placing my order and were very good at recommending the wide variety of different options and checking up on me regularly. However, I did witness some truly awful behaviour from what I presume to be a manager towards the floor staff. It was a very unfriendly woman with brown hair and wearing a black shirt, different to the purple of the rest of the team. The very atmosphere of the upstairs was oppressive, while friendly towards customers it was almost as if they were afraid of this woman. Which doesn’t speak volumes of her treatment if they were so on edge that it was noticeable to both myself and my partner. She was incredibly condescending to the staff, snapping at them for no great offence and seemed very irritated when I asked for her help on one occasion.Beyond this, the food was of a subpar quality and the ice cream was mediocre. This could have been forgiven because of the friendly staff if it were not for that manager. While I will be happy to return to the Musselburgh branch, I cannot in good conscience return here. I’ve previously heard good reviews from friends who’ve been here previously, but standards have evidently slipped.

Clean and tidy - was surprised as its normally full of kids. OK coffee but delicious ice cream. They even sold 'unicorn essence potion'. This concerned me as isn't collecting that cruelty to animals?!🤣

Fantastic, perfect for pre cinema meal and dessert. Staff were lovely, chatty and helpful, great location, clean and modern. Food was tasty and Luca's ice cream is still as good as it was 40 years ago when I first had it. The best!

You get what you pay for! Delicious ice creams with a nice range of creative flavours 🍦. This is a popular place so expect queues at peak times. They also sell all sorts of treats from candy to chocolate bars. The prices are well set given the quality of the ice cream. If you want a better bargain, go for the pre-packaged tubs in the freezers. We gave 4 stars because the person serving the ice cream wasn't wearing gloves and given they touch around including the cone you eat, we felt it was important to drop a star. Overall, a great ice cream place and a definitely worth a visit!

Very good ice-cream with a huge variety of toppings and accessories. Not the cheapest, but you do get what you pay for. A wide range of freshly made ice creams with interesting twists and flavours. Recommended.
