Visiting Edinburgh and came across this little place was an absolute dream! The tastiest broth I have ever had in a ramen it was stunning. So well balanced I don’t think I’ll ever have anything like it again! 10/10

The seating is at a premium. But its like the tardis small from the outside the menu huge the smiles huge the portions substantial great service, recommended for a date night.

food was tasty. for some reason they have 2 identically named items on the menu. one starter and one main. unless know to look for this they default to the starter without clarifying. not the brightest menu setup. the spicy teriyaki chicken. is nice but make sure check when order

I loved takoyaki and spicy teriyaki chicken. The tan tan ramen I ordered was ok. Service was really good.

Never imagined our visit to Maki Ramen comes with a racist hue. Recalling from the the little chitchat between two of their staffs publicly humiliating the Asian guy who works in the kitchen. Here is an exact recitation: “ Well, he is Thai, so basically Japanese.”The language is rude and embedded a mocking nature and there’s no doubt every guests there can definitely hear it loud and clear.

Maki and ramen is usually one of my favourite places to eat in Edinburgh but I recently had a really disappointing experience ordering from them. Usually the ramen is very good and generous but this time it was half the usual quantity and not well-cooked, the broth was like it had been sitting on the counter forever, the noodles were either old or overcooked since they were sticky and a bit slimy and it only had one pork belly piece in the tonkotsu ramen which usually has three. The gyoza and sushi were not right either. Since I have tried this place a hundred times before and it was great it doesn't seem right to give anything below four stars, but I'll also wait to see whether this was an one time thing.

Good Ramen. My noodles needed just a bit more cooking (they were a bit tough). My waiter, I think he is from Japan, was very kind.

Probably one of the best Ramen in Edinburgh.Broth is thick and incredibly flavourful.Meat cooked so well, that it nearly melts in your mouth.Portions will never leave you hungry. And high quality indigrients.Noodles are home made. What else would you want?

The best Ramen ever in the entire UK!!!!My favourite as always Salmon Ramen. The Salmon was grilled perfectly. It wasn’t overcooked at all. My 2nd favourite is Beef Ramen. And they cooked the beef sooooo amazingly perfect medium rare!!! This is not only my favourite Ramen in Edinburgh, but in the entire UK! Even I could say in Europe. It’s truly a must try when you’re in Edinburgh. 🤤🤤🤤They have 5 branches in Edinburgh, but I’m personally suggesting you to go to this branch at 13 W Richmond Street EH8 9EF just because this is the best ones!

The best ramen place in Edinburgh! Great atmosphere and the staff were really friendly. The food was amazing and I can’t stop returning for more. The sticky notes are fun to draw on with friends as you wait for your food too
