Marks and Spencer in Edinburgh

Went to have breakfast at the Edinburgh branch 09.15 hard to find a clean table and told sorry no sausage due to not delivered I said surely they must be sausage in the food hall told no, the eggs and beans we had were fine but noticed only three staff and the girl at the coffee machine was having to clear tables but had no time to spray and wipe them.

Normally good service but not today was shocking

Although the food was OK the cafe is in the basement and it was very busy and noisy. Also dark due to there being no windows

Been closed since March 2020 - so can't visit. Is a huge miss to the area

Can be busy at lunchtime. Long queues then. Staff very helpful with directing and taking peoples details as needed. Delicious scones and chai lattes.

The cafe was ok but the service was on the abrupt side with people shouting at you. I know social distancing has to be enforced but it can be done politely.

Coffee was really nice but got my order wrong when paid for large I got given regular one for the same price as the large one but Coffee was really gd same with staff

The food is okay. Staff were quitenice.but tou have to wait an hour after you ordered

Staff are very polite. There was a mix up with our food (it happens) so it took a while to get served. Staff were very apologetic and offered free tea and coffee for our wait. It's not what goes wrong, it's the customer service to fix the problem.

Such a poor experience. The cafe is so badly laid out with horrible fluorescent lighting. Sitting at the tables was like sitting in a pig pen undergoing lab tests. Despite a helpful manager, the lady behind the till was rude and mean, acting as if we were a burden for being customers, and there were loads of unwiped and uncleared tables. The predominantly teenaged waiting staff didn't seem to care. To top it all off, my wildly overpriced chicken and bacon toastie tasted of nothing. Considering M&S seem to pride themselves on being upmarket, this was awful.
