Miller & Carter Steakhouse in Edinburgh

Dined here on Saturday evening for my mothers 50th Birthday meal. The waiter at our table was absolutely fantastic! Service and food was brilliant and they even brought out a brownie for her! 10/10 would recommend!

Excellent. Great design, friendly staff and amazing food. Very tasty, fresh. Good choice of beers. My only disappointments were that I couldn't buy Bloody Mary and they couldn't make my burger rare 😞

Amazing food!! Everything we had was delicious! If you get the cheesy garlic bread, make sure to get it to share because it was so good! Even the wedge salad with the honey mustard dressing was delicious. Also got the 8 oz sirloin with the peppercorn sauce and chunky chips, absolutely amazing!

Delicious food, knowledgeable staff. We had a drink at the bar before and they just transferred our tab over to the table. Our server recommended I had my steak cooked more medium than rare and explained why. She really knew her stuff! Food was lovely. We loved the steaks, but we're also pleasantly surprised by the sides. Really enjoyed the salad and the small fried onion on the side was wonderful! It was my husband's birthday and they gave him a small ice cream which made it really special! Great value for a steak restaurant. Absolutely loved it.

I usually steer clear of chain restaurants, and honestly would most likely have skipped Miller & Carter had I known they are part of a chain. But, I’m glad I didn’t do that. Very nice meal, centred around the steak. It came with a lettuce wedge, choice of sauce, nice chips, butter & an onion loaf. I didn’t like the last one much, but other than that it was good. They have a decent wine cellar & dome nice desserts as well. Service was very warm & friendly.

We had a fantastic meal. The service is also excellent. Our waiter (Cameron, I think), was very knowledgeable & helped my friend make an informed choice. He was attentive but not intrusive. The staff are all very well dressed too. The food was definitely worth shouting about. Steaks were (not surprisingly) cooked to perfection, I liked the Lettuce wedge, the only let down for me was the fried onion. It was a bit greasy & I'm not sure that a crunchy onion added anything to the meal. Perhaps some fried onions & red pepper would add colour & be a tasty replacement?

Amazing lunch deal for 2 pax. Baked cheddar mushrooms, steak sandwich and 50 days aged steak, salted caramel chocolate profiteroles. Food was well prepared and the lunch set is absolutely worth it.

Good food and cocktails, the server was attentive and friendly - even checked to make sure there were suitable alternatives available for my intolerance. I'm always nervous dining alone, no matter the time of day, thank you Lidija.

Not had a better steak!!! It was beautiful and made me remember how good steak can be. The starter was brilliant and the over all meal was very good!
