Lovely little cafe selling the most amazing baked treats! Staff were friendly and service was quick. Atmosphere was nice and the general cleanliness of the store was good.

Although it is not the biggest of cafes, the atmosphere is calm and relaxed.Me and my girlfriend went there when exploring the royal mile. The décor is very cute with a wide range of baked goods available at a fair price.I shared a chocolate brownie and a red velvet with my partner which we both agreed were delicious.Look forward to visiting again on our future travels!!

Came to this Cafe 4 years ago after it came highly recommended and had a lovely time. Came back again today as it was my husband’s Birthday. What a disappointment, wish I had not bothered and nearly walked out.Gone was the friendly welcome, instead it was replaced with a young disinterred assistant slouched over the counter with both elbows on the counter and her chin resting on her hands. She barely looked up at us. My husband said “come on let’s go”, but I re-assured him it would get better. How wrong could I be.The young assistant looked up, still slouched over the counter but didn’t speak. I asked what herbal teas they offered, she eventually turned and pointed to some boxes on a shelf behind. Unfortunately, without a magnifying glass, I was unable to read them at the distance they were placed. She didn’t really know what flavours they offered, so I made it easier for her and asked if they had Green Tea to which she eventually said yes after checking the boxes. She took our order of two teas and two slices of cake. Myself and my husband sat down and waited patiently. My husband remarked that he didn’t think we were going to get our order, when I asked him why, he replied that the young girl was sitting in the back room on her phone and the other lady was serving other customers.Eventually, my husband asked where our order was, the older lady was unaware that we had made one. The older lady finally arrived with our order, however, I had to hold the tray for her as she couldn’t balance the tray and serve the items at the same time.We asked for some normal sugar for my husband’s tea as there was only sweeteners. The older lady stated it wasn’t her shop and she didn’t know whether there was any sugar or not.Whilst I was sitting down, I leaned back in my chair and unbeknown to me there was a customer leaning against the open door and I banged my head on the door handle which caused me pain and sore to touch for a few hours after the incidentI told my husband, I’d had enough of the overall awful experience and we left. To say I was extremely disappointed was an under statement and will certainly not be returning.

I could not thank you enough. On a trip to Edinburgh to spend hubby birthday there I've placed an online order and by mistake put a wrong date for delivery to the hotel. They were above and beyond of the expected, after a couple emails the cake was in the hotel in 2h. They were amazing, Beth and the team managed to fixe my mistake and I am very thankful for that. Excellent costumer service!

My friend had an appointment next door at Tribal so I stopped in to Mimi's while I waited for them. The employees were so lovely and very helpful. Their coffee is great and they had multiple gluten free sweets that I could choose from.I highly recommend the chocolate snickers brownie if you visit and it's on the menu!I will definitely visit again when I can.

Love Mimi's! The cakes are so delicious and such friendly service. This cafe is sooo tiny though- only 12 people can sit inside. And there are no customer toilets.

Amazing cakes & treats. Great for sitting inside or takeaway. A huge variety of treats to choose from. All of which have been superb.

The place can only accommodate limited customers, we had to wait for other customers to finished first before we got in. My husband didnt like their oreo brownie, he thinks its more of an oreo cake than a brownie. Try their chocolate cupcakes, you'll never go wrong with chocolate!Overall, this place is worth to visit.

Tiny place, but if you are lucky, you can get a table, and they also have a couple outside. We went there the day we arrived to Edinburgh and we had to come back before leaving to get some take away for the travel as we loved it so much!! Scones are so lovely. We also tried a cupcake and a brownie, and they were sweet but not too sweet, fluffy and delicious. Love it!!
