Nice vibe, food tasted good and beautifully presented. Brussels sprouts and bacon excellent as a side was excellent. My partners monkfish was sweet and beautiful... however...Service was a little rushed and the food was not hot. Warm at most. A little disappointing.

Lovely little date night restaurant. Delicious pork belly and steak. We enjoyed cocktails and wine under twinkly lights. We have been many times before and keep coming back.

Had an exceptionally good dinner here. The food was amazing and the woman who served me was so lovely (I didn't catch your name sorry, but I'm the one that chatted your ear off about New Zealand!) not only did she tolerate my chatter because I was on my own, she was also manning the bar and restaurant on her own and doing an amazing job please give her a raise.The food and wine was superb!Wish I had time to go back!

Came here a couple years ago and had the best cocktails, the Bee's knees. Went back recently and they weren't as good unfortunately. Still very nice place, friendly staff and good atmosphere.

A beautiful meal with lovely service. The decor of the restaurant was great, felt cosy while remaining sleek.The food was fantastic, the pressed pork belly, ham hough bon bon and fried sprouts with bacon all incredibley delicious. The cocktails on offer all sounded great and the heather honey old fashioned was a delight.Highly recommended for an evening meal.

loved it.really stylish, basement level bistro, with a cool vibe. the menu is small and the better for it.we had roasted monkfish and it was perfect.the staff are wonderful - friendly and attentive, without overkill.great cocktails.what's not to love?

We had a great time for our anniversary dinner at Monteith's. The location made it feel like we'd discovered a hidden gem! Food and cocktails were delicious and the service was prompt, friendly and welcoming. Thank you for making our night special!

Love this place! Some of the best cocktails I've had and I've had a lot lol. The heather honey cocktail was beautiful and the apple bramble was a firm favourite. We will definitely be back for food soon as it looked amazing as it was coming out!

Delicious food, a bit pricey but worth it as a treat. I had the yummiest cocktail I've ever had - the Skittles Swizzle, and we shared the chocolate mousse (which would've been too big for one).Also, the loveliest staff who had great energy and attentiveness.

Booked this place as it had a romantic look to it with the lite entrance and dim lighting. Unfortunately not quite right venue is small feels like a hotel lobby bar inside no cost corners just bog standard tables and layout.. The menu is hugely overpriced and limited selection. We didn't stop to eat, went elsewhere. If your after a Romantic meal with your partner I suggest you avoid. Have given two stars as it might be our personal taste and might appeal to others.
