Update: Although breakfast was good, my revisit for lunch was below standard. The steak burger was bland, dry and tasteless with an oversized bun for £14. I have to drop my rating to 3 stars. An amazing breakfast, tasty, wholesome and well priced. There is enough footfall to keep this place fresh and the service is polished. The breakfast service was calm and enjoyable. They have a good range of options ranging from eggs to a full Scottish breakfast. I know it can get quite busy and noisy for lunch and dinner, particularly on the weekends. Overall, for a Tuesday morning breakfast, it was perfect, nothing to fault on my end.

Average sums it up best. Bench seats are upright and not very comfortable. Menu was ok, portion sizes on the small side and the beef cheek and mushroom pie had very little filling. Disappointing for 2 low cost ingredients. In summary, I'd go back, but not if I was choosing somewhere to eat.

Green curry tastes like cook added water, tacos are really dry. Even worse they didn’t serve me pudding but charged it

Hi, this review might not be useful for everyone and may not apply to all the meals served throughout the day. I'm french, and I was very happy to see a restaurant named after one of the most famous cities in France, specifically for it's gastronomy and street food.Unfortunately, today, I felt paying for the breakfast here was a trap. The 14.95 pound breakfast was served cold, and the coffee too. What a waste. I know it might not be usual, be it's enough to shut down a day, especially on the new year.Hopefully this was a one off event, but in either case I will be happy to discuss.

Great menu, good service, my food was disappointing ox cheek and mushroom pie. 4 bits of ox cheek, no mushrooms, watery gravy and non risen puff pastry. Ate it all it was edible. Mentioned to the waitress who handled it well and gave me my drink complimentary. Shame

Ate lunch there on Wednesday and the best thing about the meal was that the waitress was pleasant. We both had the fish which although perfectly cooked was tasteless and as for the hand cut chips I can only assume that they were hand cut before they were put into the freezer at Farmfoods.I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone, they also had the cheek to add 10% to our bill for service without any option to opt out. I prefer to tip staff direct and not have it go into the till as part of the bill.Steer clear and go to your local chippy.

Great staff, good food. Epic full monty breakfast, onion rings, steak frites.

Awesome little place!I must admit when I stood at the door waiting for 5mins to see if they would ever greet me (it was busy to give them credit). I was unsure. However when I got a chance to sit at the bar for drinks and food while I got some work done, it was a nice surprise.Charlie behind the bar was amazing - great old fashioned, great food and awesome service!!

Food was delicious and got to us pretty quickly, the staff were very welcoming and helpful and just good vibes overall on the inside. Definitely recommend visiting but call ahead as it gets pretty busy.

GREAT SERVICE, GREAT PRICES AND GOOD FOODHad a table booked for 1:30 on a Saturday and it was much needed because it was busy when i got there. The service here was really good as the waitresses were friendly, quick to take an order, and quick to serve food!I got The Monty which was decent in size. Everything served was quite good however there were a few things that were not amazing. The scrambled eggs that I got were a little watery which made them lack a little taste. The potato scone was also not that fresh. The good thing about this dish is that you get a juice and coffee/tea included in the price.I also got the pancakes with caramelized banana and butterscotch. They were pretty nice and had a nice sweetness. They serving was the perfect amount
