The best bar in Leith. The friendly and down-to-earth team always give the place a great vibe. The newly revised and refined cocktail menu features some incredibly well made and well served classics as well as a selection of mother superiors own "Trainspotting" themed drinks. For non cocktail drinkers there's still a very acceptable gin selection and a hugely in-depth whiskey list. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for good energy and good drinks.

A regular haunt, Jane and the team are great. Always made to feel welcome. Brilliant selection of malts and beer. Having been coming here for over a year now :)

Overpriced and for no particular reason. When I was in the staff were, not rude per say but they weren't as friendly as you would expect when 6 folk walk in to buy beer.If you want a "trendy" bar with a bit pretentiousness sprinkled on top then it will be up your street. Frankly, that nonsense does nothing for me and was only in the place as one of my mates wanted to go... hipster.com.

Very comfortable and thoughtful staff. I need to use a walker and sometimes i dont feel welcome in some places but here was perfect. Loved my rare outing here. Thankyou.

This….is what an outstanding bar looks, feels and smells like.Leith is likely the best spot in Edinburgh for relaxed tourist, chilled vibes. Even on a rainy day.Fantastic array of scotches & bourbon. Strongly recommend the Caribbean Cask 14 year Balvenie or Glengoyne 12 year (who just go to the distillery instead)Really varied drink selection, Leith Pilsner is a wonderfully smooth beer on tap.Thé cocktails are good quality, smooth and strong, no scrimping on the shot sizes here, Can you beat a well balance Negroni ? No.And the wings menu is just what all bars should have. AMAZING - Cauli Wings with Franks 🤟🏽Customer service outstanding - you can’t beat a friendly Irish Lady who chats with ALL her customers.Can’t wait to go back.When In Leith - GO HERE.

My favourite little jaunt, great staff, great customers and a great atmosphere. 10/10 recommend to a friend, if you're in Edinburgh it is WELL worth the trip down to the Mother Superior!

Great bar. The music is great, the wings crispy and delicious and the staff really know their stuff. One of the nicest dirty martinis I've had, and I requested it off-menu! Highly recommended.
