Ondine in Edinburgh

Great food, quiet, private but expensive. Had the Lobster Thermidor which was amazing and the wife had fish. I ordered better :-) All in, we were £180 for 3 courses and drinks.

Very good quality, fresh ingredients, nice presentation, great service. A bit pricey but so worth it !

If you want seafood then I can't recommend this place enough. We ordered the cold seafood platter and when I saw it from across the room I couldn't believe the size of it.

Amazing. The service, food, atmosphere and drinks all made for an excellent evening. 10/10 would definitely return.

Nearly had a scare when the receptionist couldnt find our reservation. But the food and the service were completely top notched and so good. This is a place we will certainly visit again for the fresh seafood and excellent meals.

Fabulous seafood spot in Old Town Edinburgh. Book ahead because it’s popular and small. Seafood tower is a great treat for two. Nicely curated wine list. Local.

There was so much, more than enough for two of us and so much variety. Prepared to perfection and so delicious. The staff were excellent and the atmosphere was fabulous. We drank a couple of bottles of the verde as well and they went superbly with the food. Overall had an amazing night and will most definitely be dining here again when we're next in Edinburgh.

Much improved seafood platter - hot. Very garlicky and loads of seafood - absolutely stuffed. Had two huge stone crab claws too! - see photos! Lovely garlic sauce and 85 pounds! Money well spent - have visited twice already in 2021.

Came here for dinner and it did not disappoint. The restaurant was quite easy to find despite having scaffolding around the building. We ordered the salt and pepper squid tempura, chips and lobster thermidor. The squid was delicious, very nice batter and the dipping sauce matched it perfectly. It was my first time eating lobster thermidor, the lobster itself was cooked perfectly and the flavouring was on point. I wanted more! The chips were nice but for the price I would have expected more chips and not 5. The menu prices are also very different in the restaurant, the lobster is £36 as opposed to £30 on the website. Really nice dining experience and would come again
