Nice place for brunch but does not have gluten free options not even bread to substitute an english muffin on eggs benedict if we had these options then would of been 5 stars.

Amazing. They do only offer walk-ins, but when we got there, only had to wait 15/20 minutes before we were seated and had our order taken. I ordered the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel, and my sister ordered a waffle with Nutella and strawberries. It looked and tasted amazing! We both had a fruit smoothie each (mango and Very berry)10/10 would recommend. Will definitely be back!!

Wonderful coffee with that smooth non bitter taste, just like the ones we get in Sydney! Lovely breakfast choices of waffles, paninis, pastries, etc and friendly staff crafting their trade. A nice way to start the day. Did I say they have great coffee...

A must recommend place to go for, serving one of the best breakfast in town with their drool some waffles, pastas and sandwiches. Highly recommend to try waffle and bacon a combination you wont regret 😋

There's something about this place and modern Edinburgh tradition if you know what I mean. The service is warm and gentle and those waffles with bacon, strawberry and maple syrup are simply iconic. The cue outside before it's 9am Sunday opening says a lot.

Actually we wanted to go to the cafe beneath this shop buy it was full but glad we took our break in Papii. Such good coffee and we enjoyed the eggs! Recommended!

Papii is a nice cozy breakfast spot. The people working there are extremely polite and tentative to our needs. Their food is AMAZING.The waffles are cooked to perfection; crunchy outside with a soft flakey interior. Add to that, they are very generous with their toppings. The egg Benedict was on a toasted English muffin and cooked exactly how you like it. My husband and I shared our dishes, but when it comes to eggs we are the extreme opposites. I like mine to be runny and gooey, but my husband likes them well done and no gooieness to it. They were very accommodating and made it exactly how we ordered it.The staff is the best around. The first time we visited they kept on apologizing, because we waited for a while before being seated. The second time we visited, we were the first customers. They were very welcoming and remembered us. Since the place was empty when we arrived, they let my son watch them making his waffles, which made our day.

Delicious food and kind staff! Arrived at about 10am after being distracted in the Kingdom of Sweets on Princes Street. Had to wait about 20 minutes to be served which wasn't bad. That just meant the food must be good! I got the strawberries and cream waffles with maple syrup. It was delicious and not too sickly! It's not massively expensive either. Will definitely go back when I return to Edinburgh!Edit: Returned to Edinburgh 11 months later and got the same delicious waffles. My boyfriend tried the eggs benedict. Didn't have to wait outside this time either which was a bonus, I was expecting a wait as I assume it's a popular place from how great the food is! Service and food was great!
