Pentland Fry in Edinburgh

The chips 🍟 are sometimes not up to the usual standard. Could do with a little more time in the fryer.apart from that top class

Not impressed chicken kebab wasn't nice chicken dry and tasteless. Don't know how they do their chicken.. wasn't chargrilled. Wouldn't get again.

Very good Italian family chippy. Never been disappointed with any purchase. Usually get pizza from here- much better than the likes of Domino's or Papa John's and cheaper. Chippy offerings are very good, fresh fish freshly fried work crispy batter and good quality chips. Also sells Italian ice cream if you want a dessert and bottles of Peroni if you've forgotten your carry out or have just left the pub at closing time

Not Impressed ...first time...waste of money..fish had armour plating not batter...so full of oil...well waited but dissapo8nted

Popped in yesterday for fish and chips , was very disappointed when I got home . The fish was dry the batter hard. There really isn’t any excuse for this , you pay enough for it the least you expect is fresh cooked fish. I would rather wait for a fresh cooked one than get home only to be disappointed. Even the cat turned his nose up to it.

BEWARE!!Worst fish and chips ever!. Hard batter, green chips, old potatoes . Food was most likely from night before, although i was told "food is all ways cooked fresh". . Eventually got a refund, after a bit of running around. I was also told that this Chip Shop, pentland Fry, Juniper Green does not have a website and reviews for there are all bogus!...Mmmmm 🤔

Had two disappointing visits here. Both times the food took far longer than expected and was half cold. Collection is terribly organised with you waiting outside in a queue with the people still to order. Second time delivery was over 30 mins late and incorrect.

This is a good chippy and I enjoy the mixed kebabs.Not had a bad meal yet and it's always busy...which tells you something

We purchased an order for our family this evening via just eat. When we made the order we were advised that it would take 75 - 90 mins to be delivered and so, given the current situation we took our girls out for a well needed walk.We had plenty time to do so based on what were advised however 25 mins into our walk our Ring doorbell showed our food was being delivered. We spoke to the delivery driver who agreed to take it away and return at around 6:05pm. I also called the shop to explain the situation and accepted that it was a simple mistake.We were understandably surprised to see only 10 mins later, the driver had returned dumped the food on the door step and gone off.When we got home, the food had been sitting on the door step for 30 mins and was now cold.I contacted the shop again to try and confirm what was going on and felt that the staff member and mamager treated us horribly. They dont appear to value our custom and asked me what I expected.I explained an apology would have been nice given the mess up and also possibly a replacement food order to which the manager said "we can't please everyone, call just eat and get a refund, good bye" and he hung up.I can't actually believe how horrendous the service was, not only did they screw up the delivery but they couldn't fix it properly.It's a gutter as we've always loved this chippy and the related resteraunt, just hate seeing a good business go downwards with bad decisions and the wrong people at the top.

Went for a Donner Pizza and it was a hard base like cardboard and Dinner meat was not the best looked like all leftover bits not 1 single strip as per usual when I buy elsewhere. To be fair any time I've had stuff from chippy side it's always nice.
