Rice King Hong Kong House in Edinburgh

Was first time using this place and was one of the better tasting takeaways here in Edinburgh, battered chicken wings - to die for!!

Excellent food and it taste good. The fried crispy noodles with sauce is so good. One of the better tasting Chinese take away in Edinburgh.

Absoulty disgusting food. Beef is like rubber and duck is fatty grizzle.... Curry sauce is disgusting filled with lumps of curry powder. The chips are re-heated and taste like cardboard. Disgusting food and rude staff.

Ordered 1 chicken chow mein 1beef chilli chow mein came back with nothing that we ordered not happy

Worst Chinese takeaway ever the chicken is dry and feel like it's been there for 10 years

Good food, though I can't recommend anything from deep fried menu as it came soggy and chewy, other positions are great and comes really fast.Portions are massive, if you order large rice with your sauce you won't eat it, if you somehow manage, I don't think you can walk ever again.Only downside is you can't pay with card, which is extra weird in 2021 and a big inconvenience since the nearest ATM charges you for withdrawals.

Used this place a couple of times when my favourite Chinese Takeaway changed management. First time I ordered, I put the brusk manner of the person answering the phone down to them having a bad day or something. Next experience was downright rude, not the way you speak to a paying customer !Food was fairly average but customer service so bad I will never use them again. No need for that, take note owners, if you care about your business - get somebody with basic telephone manners to answer the phone!!!

The food is very tasty, the portions good, the staff friendly, but I gave it 4 stars due to the fact that they don't accept card payments. (I had to find an atm nearby and come back to pay)

The food is fine providing you are not served by the rudest gentleman to ever own a Chinese restaurant...worst customer service since the Seinfeld sketch. Will not be back.

First time ordering from here! Decent portions, very quick delivery so it was lovely and hot ! Loved our chicken curry! Looking forward trying other things on the menu 😍EDIT: I'm not coming here again. I am deaf and used an app to help me phone to order... But they said it was an inconvenience and asked if I had a carer. I understand that the majority of takeaways will be busy with the phones, but it wasn't my fault that I couldn't connect properly and I hung up as soon as I realised and called again to connect properly. I've called before and I had no problems. This isn't a nice way to deal with a customer and this is discrimination. I'm really upset about that and I shouldn't have to be left with this. Such a shame really, I liked the food. Sorry that my deafness is an inconvenience to you. I didn't ask to be deaf. Wish I could give no stars but wouldn't be able to post a review otherwise. The green font is whoever has spoken to me. Thanks for ruining my evening. 👍🏻
