Roseleaf in Edinburgh

Cracking wee bar. Visited for the first time on Friday. The bar itself is very charming. The staff were friendly and attentive. Nice selection of craft beer on tap. Their cocktails seem popular, many folks drinking them. The food menu looked appealing, we didn't eat on this occasion, but would certainly go back to try the food.A lovely bar, we will certainly be back.

Well established local bar/cafe in Leith. Really friendly and helpful staff and wasn't too crowded for a Sunday visit. Drink and food menu has a lot of variety and items have a local humorous twist. Service and quality of food and drink hard to beat in town. Easy parking nearby as a bonus. Good value overall and definitely one to put on your list.

Having walked past the Roseleaf quite a few times, I had wrongly dismissed this as an 'old man pub' (which there is nothing wrong with, just not my scene!). I was absolutely wrong though, this charming bar and cafe has just enough quirk without being twee. I spotted the separate vegan menu straight away and was delighted with the offering. We went for the teapot for two rhubarb and custard cocktail which was delicious. The stand out however was the staff, impeccably warm and friendly, they really gave the place its character. Would recommend this as not one to miss!

Absolutely no hesitation in giving Roseleaf 5 stars. An absolute gem of a place in Leith. A delightfully charming cafe with fantastic decor and a great atmosphere. The staff make you feeling very welcome and are super helpful and friendly. They have an very impressive cold and hot drinks menu. Their juices are made fresh and are absolutely delicious. The have an array of teas and a great food menu, with a separate vegan menu with plenty of options. I’ve no doubt with there being a bar here, this will also be a great place in the evening, but so far I’ve just been in a couple of time for breakfast. I plan to return plenty of times in the future.

I recommend this place very highly, after visiting for brunch...great staff, menu is fantastic, spoilt for choice... Can have a beer or wine with your meal too. Will visit again.

Let's not mess about. There's nothing you could do to make Roseleaf a better place. Looks good from the outside. The interior is quirky, cosy and welcoming. Hats as lightshades? Yeah, got that. Cocktails in teapots? Yup got that too. Great selection of beers? That too.The staff are helpful, pleasant and know their stuff. Always ready to help.Food? Awesome! Veggie options, vegan stuff, meat, fish, it's all there. And the best bit is it's all on a single menu.I can say this is probably the best eating out experience I've had in Leith. And Leith has some pretty awesome eateries. But none have so far matched the ambience, the quality and value of Roseleaf

I went here with my wife for our first wedding anniversary meal and it was so delicious! The bbq pork was immense and the sticky toffee pudding was probably the best I’ve ever eaten! We really loved trying all the cool cocktails and the staff even posted back an earring that my wife lost there - super friendly staff!!

I love this place! The cocktails served in teapots are fantastic, as is all the food. So much character and personality. Definitely going to visit again next time I’m in Edinburgh.

My absolute fave local pub and I always bring friends here! It’s so quirky and the cocktails and food are always fab - special mention to the Rhubarb and Custard pot-tails and the Mac n Cheese, my go-to things on the menu.The service is always so friendly and welcoming - the last time I was there I mentioned how much I liked their shot glasses and the person serving me then gave me one to keep 🤗 just lovely.

GREAT AND LIVELY ATMOSPHERE ALONG WITH SOME GOOD FOODWas able to book a table for 3 people for 8pm on a Tuesday, on the same day with no problems.All the servers were super nice and welcoming. Service is quick and they're considerate enough to give a detailed run down of the menu when I asked.When I go back I'm definitely ordering the Mac and cheese starter. The cheese sauce was perfect, packed with flavour and not to heavy which makes all the difference for me.The Kraken Tacos were really good as well. I think I'd hold off on ordering then again due to the price (and just order more Mac and cheese). But the flavours of the squid and pesto worked really well together.I got the burger for mains and it was a good filling burger. The chips were awesome though. They're the great crispy kind of chips.Would definitely recommend going here for a great pub visit!
