Royal Dick at Summerhall in Edinburgh

First time in, nice selection of unique beers and sours, also hidden away in a nook inside summerhall which gave it a nice atmosphere

A little chilly by the windows on the winter day we visited but delicious fresh beer, good service and our GF friend had a few options on the beer menu,too! Really nice place in summer when the courtyard outside is buzzing

This bar serves beer from the brewery within the surrounding buildings, gin from a distillery nit 20 metres from the bar.What’s not to like.Friendly atmosphere enjoyed by families and groups of friends alike.

I was with friends at the outside seating area. It wasn't busy. Was able to order drinks from inside. Staff very friendly and helpful

We’re in a strange world at the moment, but my pint in the courtyard of the Summer Hall was the most normal pint I’ve had since March! Very well organised seating area and route through to and out of the bar. This shows how to have lots of people drinking safely. Great beer too!

Our friend in Edinburgh went to vet school at The Royal Dick and suggested we go for a drink and some food. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the drinks are great and the food was delicious. I will definitely be putting this on my list of places to come back to.

Nice place. Big open space next to the meadow's in Edinburgh. Serves food. Went for Canada day quiz and they played Canadian music. Served putine and had beers from Canada on the bar. Seating is better outside than inside but still plenty of space. Was a busy night at the pub quiz. They do contactless and have beer on tap as well as other drinks. Reasonable price for city centre Edinburgh with a beer garden and good music/decor.

Super chilled place with a great, spacy outdoor area and comfortable interior. They have great beer on tap and heaps of choice of whiskys, gin (the distillery is next door) and cocktails.

Open pub, with novel lagers, and a large selection of gins from the Pickering Distillery next door. Staff were particularly pleasant. The rooms are interestingly decorated with flags, tribal masks and hats.

I had a very nice time talking to Paul. I think he's the manager of the pub. Really enjoyed listening when he lectured on gin, its history and Pickering's. I learned a lot. There are guided tours of the gin distillery and food is served in the pub, although I tried neither. By the way, the Pickering's gin is great and they have the gin on tap!
