Absolutely lovely family pub. What a treat after a long walk up Arthur’s seat. David the barman was an real gentleman and could not do enough for us and mad us feel very welcome. The better half loved her Bombay bramble gin spritz.

We went here today to meet friends for lunch. From 1st walking in to leaving the service was fantastic. The decor and atmosphere were fantastic. An extensive menu which is reasonably priced for the portion sizes. We had salt and pepper squid for starter which was delicious. The prawn linguine was full of flavour and the crispy duck salad was to die for. The kids meals were perfectly sized and went down a treat. The cocktails were on point as well. We felt at ease even with all the children in tow. I would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back!

Clean, well spaced out tables, excellent prompt service, very helpful and efficient staff, good food though could be hotter.We enjoyed our visit very much.We used a voucher so very good value, not sure we'd be so happy paying the full price for what we had though, as it would have been quite expensive. But based on this visit, would highly recommend.

Great food, friendly staff, very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. A gastro pub with the feel of an upmarket hotel bar minus the extortionate prices! The place has a cosy atmosphere and you can actually have a conversation without being drowned out by loud music. Loved it!

EXCELLENT SUNDAY ROASTCame here with a reservation for four people on Sunday at 4:30. Even though we arrived a little early the staff were nice enough to accommodate us. Whilst we were there, they were busy so we had to flag down the staff a couple of times or we would have been waiting a while. I would say that the service could be a little better if they came by more often to check and follow up.I got the soup of the day for starters which was tomato soup and it was splendid. Packed with flavour and had great consistency.Following that I got the roast which was awesome. The beef was succulent and delicious. All the trimmings were excellent including the sauteed greens and the roast potatoes were spectacular. Really crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I could have had 20 of them.It would have been ideal to have a little pot of gravy to pour.Then for dessert I got the crème brûlée which had a lovely light vanilla flavour that balanced out quite nicely with the rich cream.It was a really great meal and I look forward to coming back after a hike up Arthur's seat!

Atmosphere is nice, staff are friendly. Really nice cozy place. They have parking, outdoor seating, and indoor seating with a hall type of room with rooftop windows allowing plenty of light inside. Dog friendly. I would come back. Four stars only because taste of mashed potatoes I had with my buttermilk chicken pie reminded me of school canteen that kids avoid.
