When we visited the Scott during our honeymoon, they were in the middle of rebranding and refurbishing so had a lot of teething problems but were so helpful and accommodating. The computer system was slow but this is hopefully being sorted soon. Heather and Liam were so kind, generous and helpful and the room and stay were great. The only feedback I have is that the hanging ceiling light on one side of the bed is at perfect head height, which we took a long time to learn! We would definitely visit again if we're in the area.

extremely clean and tidy ..BUT we booked off the website and thought the place had the rustic charm of an old building shown on the photos sadly this couldnt be further from the truth its ex student accomodation within the campus ...not clearly explained at any stageno problem with the room and staff just bitterly disappointed with the setting

Room was comfortable, breakfast great, staff friendly, you can get drinks but no actual bar in hotel however there is a great pub just across the road, try the 80 shilling beer, lovely.

Great hotel but carpet could be hoovered more thoroughly and WiFi not consistent. Outside needs to be repainted. Spacious bedroom with modern bathroom. Highly recommended hotel. Only 15mins from the city. Just needs a mini fridge in each room and complimentary water. Breakfast okay good variety for continental too. Staff are all friendly. Limited car parking spaces available. Big led tvs.

Excellent location, right next to Holyrood Park and an easy walk straight into town. Only criticism would be the price of the breakfast. Room was immaculate, basic but everything you need including a Smart TV (we were able to watch Netflix through the Screen Sharing option). Plenty of on site parking.

Generous sized and well equipped twin bedroom overlooked, across the gardens, by Arthur's Seat.Dan greeted us cheerfully at reception and explained everything to us including how to find our way up Arthur's Seat or to get to Princes Street.Irene and Emeliese were extremely courteous, pleasant and helpful in the restaurant for our delicious, top quality evening meal and Jade served us beautifully at breakfast as did our waiter.Unfortunately we parked the car, we were delivering to a customer, under the trees in the car park where the bonnet was totally coated in bird lime! Thankfully, Suzannah, on reception, was extremely helpful and provided us with all we needed to ensure the car was beautifully clean and ready for our very happy customer. This hotel provides very good value for money and we would stay there again.

Surprisingly well appointed hotel. Close enough to the city centre to be easily walkable but far enough away to avoid too much noise. Parking could be an issue in busy times as it is limited. The food in the bistro was top notch, our steaks were cooked as we wanted. The desserts were also very tasty, the cranachan was very good.

Ideally situated for our requirements. Beautiful old building well maintained with original features. Very good choices for breakfast, well presented. Lovely room size but very cold being at the end if the building. The shower hose was split consequently the water power was lost.
