Located right opposite the Church Hill Theatre, this cafe is spacious enough to accommodate a fair crowd around the week. The ambience is decent and makes for a cosy vibe. The service is spot on, and orders arrive at a steady pace from the kitchen/bar to the tables.Over a couple of visits, I tried quite a few dishes along with some hot and cold beverages. The food was immaculate, in preparation, presentation and taste. The Turkish Eggs, in all their rich, spicy goodness, the Lost Bread, in all its custardy glory and the Luxury Hot Chocolate were the stand out dishes amongst my orders. The restaurant is a nice place to hang out with friends and family on a weekend morning, eating some delicious food. The price is justified by the quality of the food, and a visit is certainly recommended.A special shout-out to Liv for being an amazing hostess.Follow me on Instagram at @theravenousbong

Lovely cafe with amazing vegetarian and gluten free options! Book ahead to save from disappointment and if you consider yourself fabulous and plus size the make sure you’re not in the in one of the booth seats.

Lovely brunch, I had the butcher's breakfast and it was just full of flavour, the sausage and black pudding in particular! Lattes are decent too. Really enjoyed it and can't wait to return

Best brunch in Edinburgh! We ordered the eggs benedict and the full Scottish breakfast, and both were absolutely delicious. Staff are super friendly and the cafe has a lovely relaxed vibe. Try their cakes, too—the blueberry lemon poppyseed cake was heavenly.

Absolute gem of a place serving the most delicious brunch. Every bit of food was exceptional quality and cooked to perfection. Great choice of dishes. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

A great place to visit for all types of foods, drinks. A very busy place so book in advance. Quality of food was superb, and the coffees used 1st class. For us breakfast/brunch was ample, its a must place to visit, and has a bus stop just outside,if its wet.

One of the best breakfast I have had! Me and my dad both had the butcher's breakfast with a pot of tea and it was honestly outstanding. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. The staff were lovely. Definitely recommend and nice to support a local business. Cannot wait to come back and next time going to try pancakes as they look amazing. Thank you so much and keep doing what your doing as can see use going very far with a great business. 🍴☕❤️

Went here specially for their gluten free cooked breakfast and it did not disappoint! The sausages were delicious as was very thing else on the breakfast. My boyfriend had the normal breakfast and said it was equally as good.it was the perfect portion size as well. The owner was lovely and friendly and you could see she was doing everything she could to provide a great customer experience. Would definitely recommend here.

Had the most delicious french bread for breakfast. Made from freshly baked brioche with yummy homemade bacon and smothered in maple syrup. This could possibly have been the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Also really loved the Scottish mist (twist on a London fog) made even more delicious with the fresh lemon zest on top. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants the best brunch they’ve ever tasted in a really relaxing atmosphere. Just wonderful.

One of the best breakfasts I've ever had, and I've lost count of the amount I've had out in Edinburgh alone. Everything on the butchers breakfast was amazing, you can tell the difference with the in house butchery work. Even the fried bread, beef fat fried and the perfect amount of salt on. I want to eat it daily forever and ever. Thank you.
