We had booked lunch there. We walked in and were directed into the restaurant where we were seated. We ordered drinks but weren't ready for food just yet. We had told our Waitress this who clearly wasn't happy about this and kept coming back. After the third "inviting" 'are you ready yet!!' we have decided to get some nibbles, pay our bill and get out. Definitely won't be coming back. Shame that this one Waitress let the place down.

Nice decor, lucky to get seat looking out to the Forth Rail Bridge. Expensive, plus they add 10% service charge! Food and wine was good though, service a little slow. 2 hrs for 3 course for couple. I would go back, but not for a family meal. Best to save for a special occasion.

Absolutely loved my stay at Orocco pier . The hotel is spotless, the food is superb and and all the staff at the Orocco pier hotel were lovely and very helpful. It was my first time in Queensferry and its beautiful, a very Victorian midevil town we really enjoyed it. We will definitely be back at the Orocco pier hotel .

Front of house maitre’d was lovely. Sat us quickly and as close to the amazing view as possible. Menus and drinks were served quickly and our order taken promptly. I ordered an interesting sounding crab burger whilst my friend ordered a chicken burger. Sometime (10m?) later the maitre’d came and apologised for a mix up on our order and said it would be with us shortly. No problem. Another 10m later, a waitress came and announced 2 chicken burgers to us. Nope we said, 1 chicken, 1 crab. Away she went to check and came back with the same plates which were in fact correct, she’d misread. Ok - so the food. I had high hopes for my burger, envisioning sweet and lightly seasoned crabmeat shaped into a patty. What I got was a battered deep fried lump of mixed crab meat, some light some dark. The meat itself was a little bitter. It didn’t really fit the bun so each bite was uneven: sometimes I’d get a bit of meat, sometimes not. The bun was too big for the contents and was not piping hot. Coupled with very cold (straight from the fridge) smashed avocado (also not seasoned) and a quite runny okonomi sauce, it was not a palette pleaser and sort of slid around my fingers. I ended up abandoning most of the bun. The fries were unevenly cooked, some crispy some a bit raw. After we were finished, we waited around 10m for someone to take our plates and bring the bill and another 10 to take payment, and I eventually went to the bar to ask to pay. My friend and I wanted to split the bill but the waitress came with the full total already plugged into the card machine. I was just ready to get out of there by then so just paid and left. There were around 7 covers in all whilst we were there and I counted 3 or 4 wait staff plus a bar tender. More than manageable staffing levels.Positives: lovely ambience and stunning view.Negatives: uneven food experience, inexperienced wait staff, slightly overly ambitious menu/chef.Would I visit again? Yes, for the view alone and I’d stick to old faithfuls like fish and chips!

Beautiful hotel . Food was amazing . When going down to breakfast we were extremely disappointed that even though you expect tea and orange juice as standard with any breakfast you chose that everything is in fact itemised and charged separately. This should be stated much more clearly when your booking or checking in.

Lovely restaurant, great views, the food can't be faulted. The staff were friendly and attentive. My wife and I loved the experience. Will definitely return.

We were lucky enough to have our wedding reception here on 15th January 2022. I can not fault Orocco Pier one bit.1: We came back from the registry office and everyone was looked after whilst we were getting our photos taken.2: the meal was amazing. The food was delicious and portion sizes were good. We dumbed down the food to make it plainer for people but the chef still made it exceptionally tasty.3: The evening reception was so fun and relaxed. The bar staff were a great laugh and looked after us really well. The evening food was amazing too. We chose stovies and chicken strips. The chicken was in a cone with our picture on it. The DJ was fantastic too. He made the night and everyone had a blast on the dance floor.4: a special thank you to Sharne (sorry if it is spelt wrong). She managed our whole day and she looked after us so well. Even when we needed time ourselves, she gave us that time and provided us with whatever we needed.5: The Room they gave us was amazing. it had exceptional views of the bridges and we were so comfortable. Breakfast was lovely too and didn't feel rushed. We couldnt have asked for a better venue for our wedding. Thank you so much.

Great place to stay, have a meal or function. Great views across the forth and the 3 bridges. Downside is there isn't much parking close by.

Booked weeks in advance as had been highly recommended. My partner had lobster which was lacking much meat, we did highlight this and they did discount a cpl of drinks, I myself had the haddock which was really disappointing, the fish batter was really poor flat with no crisp to it at all. We may just have been unlucky but without anybody actually telling the restaurant then nothing will change

Absolute fantastic venue and staff. We got married at the orroco pier in August of this year. From start to finish I cannot praise them any higher. The wedding planner kayleigh and her team were great, always keeping us up to date with any changes that concerned us, ensuring we never missed anything and giving some great ideas for the day.The events coordinator cam was also fantastic on the day, ensuring everything ran smoothly, keeping us to schedule and making sure the day itself was as good as it could be.All the bar staff were brilliant, friendly and happy to get anything that was asked, even if it wasn't held in the function room bar.The food was 10/10, with many guests commenting on how great it had been, the special attention to detail with any dietary requirements was fantastic and left everyone delighted.Overall I would recommend the orroco pier to anyone.Thank you to all the staff for a fantastic day.
