Really disappointing visit. I got a slice of carrot cake and my wife got an apple and caramel pie. However, when I got home I noticed the edges were brick hard, so hard in fact, you could hear the spoon tap against the side of the cake. It was like that all the way through and totally inedible.....really disappointing. On the plus side, my wife enjoyed her apple pie and said it was really nice. It could be that I was just unlucky and got a piece that had been lying out too long but I don't think I'll be back. The price wasn't unreasonable at £4.15 for both cakes but I did expect much better.

I am not a desert person but this made me change my mind. They have a wide selection of delicious cakes, pastries, baked goods etc. We got the Chantilly fresh cream Gateaux slice which was an Italian vanilla sponge filled with Chantilly fresh cream and strawberry jam. It was light , moist with a perfectly balanced sweetness to it. And it costs us around £2.35 which wasn’t too bad. I can highly recommend this! Next time will try their Black Forest cake ✨

We always get our celebration cakes from here. Sponge light as air. Pastry always good. They can tailor make too. This one had lemon custard and Italian merangue pieces inside. Always a crown pleaser

Love this place. Can’t believe how reasonably priced the treats are. I ordered 9 donuts for polish donut day and it only came to £10 - unbelievable! Can’t think of anywhere else that is cheaper than that. As you can see from the pics they aren’t small either. They also tasted amazing. More of a bread like texture than your normal donuts with nice flavour. I also had a pistachio cannoli which was delicious. Everything is so fresh and authentic. I am only giving 4 stars for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I like to be strict with my scores so try and not dish out 5s all the time. The only obvious fault that I can give is for the collection of the donuts. I placed my order and paid for my donuts over the phone to be at the neighbouring shop because I didn’t think I would get there in time before the shop closed. I was very appreciative that they were going to offer this service to me. However, I was able to get to the shop earlier than anticipated and the shop was still open when I arrived. It took them awhile to find my order but when they did it wasn’t prepared. So they had to quickly put a box together for me. Thankfully, I arrived early or else I likely wouldn’t have got my donuts from the shop next door. I purposely asked for 1 of each donut (9 in total) and they said that the only missing one was the original sugar donut. I was fine with that but when I opened the box, and as you can see from the pic, there was a few duplicates which shows that I never got all 9. I know, it’s not the end of the world, and I may be being picky, but it’s the small details that make a difference. Overall, the slight negative didn’t drastically hinder my experience (just minus a star😉). Will 100% be back.P.S. There are so many treats to choose from so if you are indecisive like me then you may be there awhile. Thankfully they are cheap enough so you can buy a few.

I was gifted these baked goodies from the Leith Sicilian Pastry Shop from my lovely sis.The cakes here are to die for. They are light and so soft. They are made daily on the premises. The fresh cream is just the right amount of sweetness. With the addition of fresh fruit makes it refreshing. My family have been buying birthday cakes for well over 30yrs from here. And I know of many other friends and family too.If you are in need of a treat or a cake this bakery won't disappoint. The prices are reasonable and not over priced.Pictured vanilla sponge with fruit, chocolate sponge cake, fruit cream tart and fruit Danish.

I moved away for 2 years and during that time I searched endlessly for a Cannoli that was even a patch as good as these ones... From Glasgow to London and everywhere in between, nowhere came close. So I returned from the wilderness after a long Cannoli drought and here they still are, in all their glory! You will not find a better one anywhere outwith Sicily itself, but I feel these not only have the taste of Sicily for me but also a taste of Home 🏡🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Delicious food here for a reasonable price. I've tried almost all their cakes and several other various types of desserts. I think the best food they sell are the following;- black forest cake- pistachio cannoli- fruit tart- ham and cheese calzone- aranciniHighly recommend the above. However I do hope they don't get too comfortable in all these positive reviews and change for the worse. And I hope they will reduce the sweetness of the other cakes so that people can enjoy them just as much as the black forest cake. I feel like the tiramisu cake is a little dry, wish it had more of the alcohol flavour soaked in the biscuits.

Edinburgh’s best kept secret! There is always a queue of locals out the door and down the street. They do a huge variety of cakes and pastries everyday with a good selection of Italian savouries (the toasted focaccia with Parma ham, pesto, salad and mozzarella is unmissable) arancini, pots of pasta with various sauces. The best thing is the price, it is ridiculously cheap for the quality and quantity.
