Spitaki Greek Taverna in Edinburgh

A nice small Greek restaurant that is on 2 levels. The menu is quite small and is based on meze which is similar concept to tapas. A small menu is often a good sign that the quality will be good and well prepared and that was the case here. The staff are all friendly and service was ok, if a wee bit slow. The layout makes for a cozy atmosphere.

Second time at Spitaki after a fantastic first visit and it didn't disappoint. Excellent meal in a lovely chatty atmosphere. Friendly staff were very helpful in suggesting menu items for our group and we felt we'd ordered the correct amount without stuffing ourselves too much. Can't wait for our next visit.

All that is missing is the Sun, sea and the smell of Sun tan cream. We ordered the whole menu. Every dish was superb. We'll done Chef. (There was more than two of us).

From the very few places to offer such a homely feeling. Excellent food and well priced too. Great service. First 5 star review given 5 years ago and still true.

We visited Spitaki for the first time yesterday.My son has been recommending both the restaurant and take away service i for ages and Spitaki certainly lived up to our expectations.Lovely food at a great price in a relaxed and homely atmosphere.The perfect place to meet with family and friends and we will definitely be back soon.

Very tasty, fresh and reasonably priced meze and more.The staff were friendly and welcoming, our table in one corner was private and comfortable. Perfect place for a catch-up with friends. I'll be back as soon as I get a chance !

Fantastic, authentic, family run restaurant with delicious food and a great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive and were very helpful in accommodating our two year old. Food came out fast and super fresh. Five of us ate like Kings for just over 100 quid. Fast becoming one of my favourite restaurants

I can't wait to go back to this place! What an accidental find! I had a very little hope to find something as good on a Sunday afternoon! Lovely, friendly staff, excellent food, really reasonable prices!! Great for vegetarians! We probably ordered 8-9 vegetarian dishes (for 4ppl) they were all delicious!! The grilled Greek cheese (not feta), fried aubergine, spinach and calamari were my favourites!!

Might just be my new favourite place in Edinburgh! Lovely little restaurant with delicious, fresh food. The service was great and staff really nice and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back there!

A cosy restaurant with a taverna vibe. It's small, cute and offers a nice selection of well priced sharing plates. There are Greek classics like fried cheese and tzatziki. The food is tasty and captures some of that delicious Greek cuisine. It's a shame they don't do gyros. The interior design definitely adds to the taverna fill with blue and white colour palette. Although each plate is around £4 to £6, to fill yourself the average price per person is around £15 to £20. We gave 4 stars because the some of the staff were aloof and cold. Overall, it's safe, comforting food without too much fuss or detail in the local area.
