Quiet little cafe under St Giles' Cathedral. It's a great place to go if you want to get away from the more crowded cafes on the Royal Mile. Good food and great service, have gone back for the stuffed potatoes.Unfortunately this cafe is now closed for business.

Visited as part of a group of 6 for lunch during the Festival. Food was fine but shocked and very surprised to be told there were no toilet facilities open for customers as the Cathedral had made a decision to close them for the duration of the Festival. Very poor show indeed and I won’t go back there - good food or not. What kind of cafe offers no toilet facilities for their customers for goodness sake!!!

Nice ambience and helpful staff. A reasonable enough selection of interesting things to eat to please most folk. At times when the High Street is thronging with visitors it is surprising that this cafe, tucked under and behind St Giles, is not busier.

We were there to visit the cathedral and had to wait as it was Sunday and they were having service. We saw this little gem in the back as we wandered around. I wanted to go back but time did not allow. Amazing service. The friendliest staff and delicious foods and pastries.

There was an awful smell as we walked in, possibly burnt coffee, but it really put us off food here. We settled for a couple of cans of Coke, £1.75 each!! You'd pay less in London! The tables hadn't been cleared. The staff weren't exactly friendly either. If you need a coffee hold on and find somewhere else to go.

Nice, quiet option tucked away in the cathedral off the royal mile. A variety of salads, soups, and and filled rolls. Good food.

Freshly prepared food and a range of tea/coffee accompaniments. The location provides a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a bit of peace from the daily bustle of the High Street.
