Average food place, with some specific Italian varieties, but also things like full Scottish breakfast.Might be worth walking a bit more and finding something with more options.

Lovely relaxing music and atmosphere. Excellent cannoli's and cupcakes. Will visit again! The kids and I had a hoot.

Stayed in Edinburgh for 4 days and this was our breakfast destination every morning, a fantastic atmosphere with incredibly friendly and attentive staff, would highly recommend for an economical but good morning start!

An absolutely lovely place to go, especially with friends and some time on your hands since they've got a great variety of boardgames! Went there with some friends for a quick coffee and ended up staying 2 hours playing monopoly. They sell some amazing coffee with Nutella (really recommend it!) and delicious, homemade pastries and cakes made by the owners wife. Both are very nice people too. Loved it!

Small Café with a great vegetarian scottish breakfast :)

A lovely place with extremely friendly staff. They welcomed all my requests for a vegan and soy free cake for my graduation. The pastries are very tasty too. Could not recommend it more!

Fantastic café serving quick meals, cakes, coffee and tea. Prices are reasonable, service is very friendly and everything we tried was delicious. I especially enjoyed the mushroom soup, the creamy pesto pasta which was served with a generous topping of chopped walnuts, and the cannoli. The coffee is equally good and they have a wide range of teas. We can't wait to go back!Update: Made to order cakes are tasty, beautifully decorated and very reasonably priced. I'm never making another birthday cake again!

Family run cosy pastry shop and coffee, home made cakes and savoury options too. The guys are very friendly. Recommended.

Enjoyed bacon and sausage morning rolls here and was very impressed.Tasty and fresh. The coffee was fab too. Although we did not try the cakes we will next time as they looked delicious. The staff were lovely and trying very hard to make everything right . We loved the owls too . We just came across this cafe by accident as we don't know the area ( dropping daughter off for uni ) but we felt very lucky to have stumbled across such a pleasing establishment .

Best coffee in edinburgh, best cakes. Place really beautiful and comfortable. 5 stars!!
