Such a fantastic restaurant. The food was unique and beautiful! The service was friendly and attentive with a delight in their food and drink. The artwork is also brilliant. Was a fantastic way to celebrate my wedding anniversary. Will be back!

The restaurant was nice with a nice atmosphere, music a bit too loud to have a normal conversation. Good quality food however, the "a la carte" menù has only 1 vegetarian option for starters and one for mains, when the couple next to us had a full vegetarian tasting menu, not advertised at all on the website. Also, no chances to have that menu at the restaurant because was necessary to book it an advanced. A real shame, a food experience completely ruined

Unforgettable experience! We were late because of the GPS,but we were lucky enough to get a table for Valentine's.Exceptional 5 course menu, exceptional service not mentioning the kindness of the staff.

·

Amazing food and service! Very thoughtful menu. Would love to go back to Taisteal again if we return to Edinburgh in the future.

We went for the 7-course tasting menu with drinks pairing. It proved to be an excellent choice. Well-balanced tastes, great service and value for money. The drinks included more than wine which was a pleasant suprise. Totally recommended!

I can't fault it here - amazing food, good prices, excellent service and lovely atmosphere! Great if you want 'fine dining' without ridiculous prices and they very happily swapped out the chorizo in the monkfish dish (pictured) to make it pescatarian-friendly for me :) highly recommend!!

What a delightful place. Homey, cozy and pleasant environment, caring and passionate staff alway kind and keen to explain or recommend. Food was simply stunning, all flavours were well balanced and harmonious. Great seasoning and cooking techniques. We had 3 course meal for £30 - great value. We will be back ! Absolute pleasure.

Lovely 7 course tasting menu delicious and unusual courses which were generously sized. The accompanying drinks paring was excellent and the meal and drinks were both exceptional value at only £50 and £33. Only 4/5 stars as the downstairs restaurant area lacked a little spark and the service was extremely fast to the point where it felt like we were being rushed.

·

Absolutely gorgeous food and £30 for 3 courses of the best I've had in a long time is outstanding value for money! Will definitely be back! Warm cosy atmosphere and staff giving a breakdown of the dish was very helpful. One of our party is gluten intolerant and this was catered for without any issues.

Honestly one of the best places I've ever eaten. My boyfriend and I travelled to Edinburgh for a few days and booked dinner here last minute and it was the best decision we ever made. Staff were incredibly friendly, atmosphere was so lovely, the food.. was absolutely incredible. We ordered the scallops and lamb sweetbread for starters, the lamb wellington for mains, and a nutella alaska (and another dessert I honestly forgot the name of). We wish we could go again - we heard they have a lovely little bakery during the day! Highly recommend
