Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean and modern rooms. The staff were excellent - very pleasant and helpful. We stayed for one night in order to attend a concert nearby and wish we could have stayed longer. The hot breakfast buffet could have been a degree or two warmer but not too bad and a good choice of items on offer. We really enjoyed the stay and will be back.

The hotel was in a perfect location, the staff overwhelmed us with their kindness and friendliness, they could not do enough for us. This was a 60th birthday present from my children, a 2 night stay with breakfast and staff wet the extra mile to make it more special. First class breakfasts, first class on cleanliness and covid precautions. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended it and intend doing this regularly. The hotel is ideally situated for all the sightseeing and the museum and greyfriars Bobby and the kirkyard are a must see. Excellent quality hotel.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Edinburgh. Good locality for exploring the castle and surrounding area. Beautifully decorated, modern and clean rooms. The food and drinks are very tasty and reasonably priced. The staff are extremely nice and very helpful. Will definitely be visiting again.

Nice clean and tidy hotel in a quiet corner of Edinburgh, just off a main road. Walkable to everything but since it's set back a little you don't get a lot of loud foot traffic. I had a cool view of the crags and hidden gardens and Victorian houses that give Edinburgh such character. The breakfast is nice and make time for the bar- shout-out to Emily the bartender, she was so friendly and made great drink suggestions! And great drinks!

This hotel is in a really interesting part of town and is well located for access to pubs, restaurants, bars and theater. The hotel itself is part of the historic buildings found there and is really well set up. We did not eat in the restaurant, however, it looked really nice with various rooms and little nooks to have a quiet meal in. Our room was spacious and the staff helpful and friendly. Our only negative comment was there was no soap/shampoo in the room. Luckily we always travel with our own, however, for the price you pay you may expect that to be supplied. As we had our own we did not raise with reception, however, it may very well be they would have been happy to assist, as they were very helpful in all other matters

Lovely hotel situated go the heart of the old town and not far away from the main attractions in Edinburgh. A very smart bar and restaurant area are on the ground floor. We stayed over Christmas and it was very pleasant. We ate go the restaurant on Christmas Day and the food was very good. We were upgraded to a better room on arrival which made the stay even better.

The staff at the hotel was excellent. Very kind, helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. We were kindly upgraded to a room with the view of Arthur's seat! Special thanks to Kier, Stuart and all the other staff working through the festive period.

I stayed here for 3 nights and there is honestly not one single thing I could moan about! I am a single traveller and was expecting a tiny room, no quite the opposite infact the room was massive! The hotel is so modern and clean, everything looks brand new. The staff are so attentive and clearly care about their jobs going above a beyond. Infact I actually sat in the pub 2 nights in a row due to the outstanding service especially from Panos. Food was absolutely delicious, congratulations chef. And finally the location, absolutely perfect. Walking distance to everything! Lots of food and drink choices nearby and all the attractions are within 15 minute walk. Will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely stay. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Lovely food and good selection of drinks. Nice clean room and the best shower I've ever had!Only negative point was what I assume is emergency lighting in the room, that we couldn't turn off so there was quite a bright green light once the main lights were off but otherwise no complaints
