It was suggested by a lovely forever young couple as their favorite JD Wetherspoon. I am happy to came and tried this location, the pub have excellent service and the vibe the interior is amazing. When you go there I suggest to try the top tier it is the best.

·

Really nice staff, friendly helpful. The building is such a beautiful building and there has been elements of the picture house kept from its former use. Such a really nice touch!

·

Very good. A beautiful old cinema. Probably the best Wetherspoons I've seen. People are happy to give the business a hard time but they forget that they employ 30000 people and restore/curate old buildings. The original cinema here was, itself, a partial conversion of the County Hotel, the site of which is marked on the 1876 OS Map and a map of 1846. The present grade B listed building was originally the Caley Picture House, having opened on 1 January 1923 with Game of Life – a silent film. In 1928, the building was enlarged for the new ‘talkies’. Several incarnations since then have included nightclubs and a live music venue – which closed after a farewell party on 31 December 2013. Well worth a visit!

·

Great food and drinks for an extremely reasonable price. My steak meal with a pint of beer was under £13. Finished up with a pitcher of cocktails for £8.29. Order everything at the bar and the service is quick. Sad we found this on our last day in Edinburgh and won't get to go back.

·

Just went there for drinks and definitely will be back next time we are in Edinburgh!Beautiful building and very unique atmosphere.Definitely worth visiting

·

Probably the best looking wetherspoons I have visited. I love how wetherspoons combine historical buildings and value drinks and food. We were recommended to visit here just to see the bar and it didn't disappoint. Only had a couple of drinks but £3-4 for a spirit and mixer is good for the location. Toilets were messy, 1 blocked and over following, another looked like a scene from trainspotting but the rest of the bar looked great

·

Buzzing atmosphere, brilliant service from all staff members, great food and excellent experience.

·

I visited there for lunch with my wife. It was very nice place. All staffs were very kind. Very comfortable place. I felt I wanted some films in there. Looking forward to visiting again soon. Thank you!

·

Unlike other Wetherspoon, it has such a chill and lovely vibe thanks to the history of the architecture itself. I love the balcony seats, it makes me feel like I can stay here all day.The service is good and convenient with the app. It's my favourite pub in Edinburgh.

·

What a gem - unlike most Wetherspoon's this one is set in an art decor old cinema - they have gone to considerable effort to maintain the look & feel. A complete surprise from the entrance & foyer. Take the lift & enter 60's style bar. Enjoy!
