Charming and chill. We had a nice quiet (albeit late) lunch. We shared a Chicken and Bacon pie (which was lovely and warm on a cold rainy day) and the cask ales were delicious.Great friendly service too.The interior decor doesn't entirely match the ancient exterior, but that's not a big deal at all.

This pub was recommended to me by a local 7 years ago, and it does not disappoint!Inside is very clean and trendy looking! There is a great selection of classic Scottish pub food, with great beer and drinks to accompany it! My food was brought out very quickly and was delicious. This is a perfect spot for dinner and drinks if you are in central Edinburgh!

Pub grub Royal mile style. They welcomed us and gave us a seat. The beer was good and the food solid. No surprises. You get was you expect and that's a good thing.

Great food, great beer selection! And right on the Mile. It is a smaller venue, but very much worth the visit. (It is also child friendly before 9pm)

We went for a bite and a whiskey taste but this guys, The Chili Dogs band, really made my evening. Delicious food and very good whiskey. Friendly staff. Clean toilet. Good vibe.

Nice pub with great food. The haggis tower with neeps and tatties was awesome and the fish and chips was good also. Definitely try some of the cask ales if you are visiting from out of town.

My wife and I decided to eat here after a long day of walking around Edinburgh. The atmosphere was very nice and the food was very good. A plate of several smoked fish for my wife and the chef's homemade pie, chicken and mushrooms, hit the spot. An impressive list of beers and other libations awaits your visit. And best of all, nothing felt or looked like you were in a touristy location. I recommend it.

My wife had the soup of the day and chicken mushroom pie, I had the Haggis. We enjoyed our lunch very much but the portions were too big. The beer I ordered was a bit stained, probably the last drop of the draft, I should have complained .
