Great Scottish food. The steak was cooked exactly as I like it. Could have been spiced or salted a bit but I was able to spruce it up a bit myself. My girlfriend has the yorkshire pudding and really enjoyed the flavor. The drinks were good as well! The staff was friendly, though it gets a little crazy as it appears teens are running the place. So they're a little rambunctious but they get the job done.

We popped into The Castle Arms during our visit to Edinburgh. We wanted to try the haggis and maybe something else local. The vibe is nice. There's a TV screen to watch sport. It wasn't loud at all, we could talk all the time with no problems even though the match was on. The food was tasty and quick to come. The staff was friendly (our waitress seemed a bit inexperienced but that's not a problem). At the end, the price was appropriate. It's a nice place to stop by if you want to quickly eat some local food and maybe watch some sport.

Been a couple times during the afternoon, and each time was served and greeted by friendly and helpful staff. I wouldnt say the food was any good, could take anything more than a bite of the sausages. Would go back for a beer and the staff. The waitresses that are usually around are a great laugh.

I think this pub is appealing and a disgrace. The staff are rude and the way the treat people is terrible. Staff need to sort them self out. Pub is a free for all and two 17 year old serving drink and drinking with 19 year old staff member after pubs close. I will not recommend this pub to anyone. Plus there to many young very young people.workimg in a work.place that they are under age boss is never around to keep his pub under control its a free for all. I would definitely give this pub a swerve it a disgrace. To the owners response I am not giving inaccurate response I am giving full accurate information because I was told by a 19 year old worker your never there and I think that a disgrace in my opinion. The other thing there was two 17 year old girls working and serving drink in your pub and with 19 year old staff member and getting wasted. What happen to staff safety 🤔 and why is there two very young lassies drinking in a pub under age when they can't get served in a local shop 🤔. Why is there no control over your pub so yes your pub is a disgrace and it disgusting and the staff is rude 🙄 and I think you need to take responsibility of what's going on in your pub my opinion. I won't say how I know about all this but I do that all you need to know. This pub is disgrace and I am disgusted in what goes on here.

Nice traditional pub (with some nice outdoor patio seating) for lunch or drink while sightseeing. They do the basics well and servers are lovely.

The pub has a really nice location, really close to the castel. I ordered some fish and chips but the batter inside was still raw. The peas also were slightly tough (raw). However the staff was quite friendly.
